Atlanta, Ga. (June 8, 2006) – Number One Parts Inc. (NOPI), the country’s leading sport-compact automobile accessories parts distributor, today proudly announced that Ludacris, an award winning superstar, will return to his hometown and headline the 2006 NOPI NATIONALS Motorsports Supershow, the world’s largest custom car show. Entering its 19th year, the NOPI NATIONALS is scheduled for September 16 and 17 at the Atlanta Motor Speedway.
At this year’s NOPI NATIONALS, which attracts more than 100,000 fans to the two-day event, Ludacris will perform on September 16.
“We’re delighted and honored to have Ludacris at this year’s NOPI NATIONALS,” said Michael Meyers, president of NOPI. “When you combine the largest motorsports supershow in the world with one of the world’s premier hip-hop artists in Ludacris, we expect this year’s NOPI NATIONALS to be the biggest ever in our history.”

Chris Ludacris Bridges has been seen on the big screen for his star roles in Hustle & Flow and Crash, which received an Oscar for Best Picture in 2006. In addition to being CEO of Disturbing Tha Peace Records, a joint venture of the Island Def Jam Music Group, Ludacris runs the Ludacris Foundation with his mother, and has his own radio show entitled Open Mic on XM Satellite Radio.
Each year, the NOPI NATIONALS Motorsports Supershow draws more than 100,000 spectators viewing upwards of 7,000 cars and trucks vying for more than $100,000 in cash prizes. In addition to the car shows and Fuzion Tire Burnout competition, fans will enjoy: Scooter Braun, special host of the event; live performances from hip-hop artist Kudzu; Tour 2006 (a caravan of import / compact cars); “Bass Thumping” audio competitions and Hydraulic Jump-Offs. The NOPI NATIONALS Supershow offers a little something for everyone so if cars aren’t your thing, then check out the after-hours foam parties, the world famous North American Bikini Contest, Xbox gaming stations and the NOPI Chic Penthouse, which is a meet ‘n greet autograph session with the world’s hottest NOPI Chics.
Along with the NOPI NATIONALS Motorsports Supershow, NOPI also serves as the governing body for the NOPI Drag Racing Association (NDRA) Xbox Cup Championship series, the country’s premier sport compact drag racing circuit. The 2006 NDRA season kicked-off March 18-19 in Phoenix, Ariz. The race series will travel the country for 10 races, culminating with the World Finals of the NOPI Racing Series Xbox Cup Championship on October 14-15 in Norwalk, Ohio.
