This scanner covers most police, fire and public safety channels as well as air and amateur radio. It is preprogrammed with all of the most popular race car series frequesncies It also covers 800 mhz. comes with rechargable batteries, charger, programming software for the PC so you don't have to use the buttons on the scanner to program it and the programming cable along with the manual.

This is a linux based Palm computer 4" color touch screen with PC link cradle/cable extra battery and loaded with extra software. I have the manual but do not have the box for this.

The Palm computer also has wireless built in as well as and IRD and usb port. see the review that I posted and it will give a bunch more details than I can post here.
