Hello everyone, Just to let you know that in the future i will NEVER:nono: send NOT one of my teammate ever to a show put on by this man! The show was a joke!! He doen't run the show the way it should be. Telling the 119 class oh sorry your the only one in your class . so you gotta go to the 129 class. Oh, and you 149 guy the only one goes to the 139 class. combining the ss1-2nw with ss1-2. If you don't know how to run a show DON'T!!!!!! A man might be the only one in his class. He gets those points for first! not bump him up or down cause you want to combine classes. All street classes were stuck together. I wouldn't want to drive many miles that we do to be stuck running my street a class car against a street c car for his convenience!!Thanks for the venting of my anger!! If I'm wrong i will apoligize , But if right , I meen what i say.

Get your story straight. That's bull****. At the end of the whole event we did Outlaw just for fun. I charged 10 bucks to cover the trophies for those who wanted to do it. We place the sensor anywhere the guys wanted to besides inside the box or port.

I welcome any suggestions as long as they are done in a respectful way. I'm a man like anyone else here that only asks to be treated the way you would like to be treated.

I go out of my way for people and to make things fair. We actually only had 2 issues at the first show. One was that I did not set the 2nd screen to show below 120 . .. It was too late . . .started the contest so it could not be changed. Both were offered a refund if they wanted it. Neither affected the outcome of the standings at the end.

And then, so one complained that the meter was not reading right. Well, after his qualifying run again with a new cord .. . ( even though the system does a self diagnostic and should not read if there is an issue with a cord or sensor ) and he had time to go check his setup . .. He simply dropped a sub.

Isn't this supposed to be fun?? What's with the *****ing and moaning. .. Bring a loud vehicle and just have fun..

WOW. I was at this show and i didnt know all this **** was going on. Bob i think u did a good job running the show. It was better thatn the 1st, shows me u did different things to improve ur show. Second, guys this man is just trying 2 do what is best for the sport, hes a all around good guy, he kept his word, which means a lot. When me a Slim arrived to the show we had no problems and had a good time at the show. There is alot being said.. I just wanted to add my point of view..

nothing against you or your show, but I think only certified Judges should be allowed to hold shows, if someone is allowed to have a certified show, they should have to become a certified Judge, just because you buy a meter and you own a shop does not make you a Judge, I take my Judges job very seriously, I know the rules better than the head people at IASCA, I also know the dB Drag rules, it personal pisses me off when I had to go through all kinds of crap to become a Judge and promoter, and a shop owner can buy a meter get a rule book and hold a certified show, I'm recuired to do a show a certian way, my set up has to look a certian way and I have a code of ethics I have to live buy or I can no longer hold a show, if we are trying to build the sport they should make everyone wanting to hold a show go through Judges training.

again this is not a shot at you, its just my 2 cents

Mike I hear ya on this one. I agree I think that people who want to judge a show, should have to have some sort of training before they start judging events.

I know the code of ethics you follow Mike, I have the same rules & regulations that I have to abide by when judging events.

This is not posted with any intent to start a flame war, nor is it directed at anyone, intentilnally or unintentionally.

I would welcome it. I agree. You know, my TL did not come with an instruction manual .. lol Just figured it out and called Wayne. I agree.

wats the deal with combining classes i heard about.
I combined classes to be able to have heads up competition between guys. I didn't want to have people alone in a class. When I asked Wayne about combining .. he said not to combine A with B in street and so on .. just to make a STREET CLASS in general. I want things to be fun. And, the fun of DB Drag is the fact that it is a bracket style head to head format.

That is the only reason I did it. Same in Bassrace. One guy was alone in 19 and did not want to run alone. He said he had an issue with his setup . .and asked for a re-run. I gave it to him. Then, Doug Brown was the only one in 49. So, I asked him to join 29 or 39 and he agreed. Mind you, neither guy in these two examples are members of DB Drag or care about points.

I talked with another judge. And, I see now what the problem was. I did follow the rules. But, that does not mean that is what everyone is used to. Everyone is used to just taking 1st if they are alone. If that's the way you guys want it. . I understand.

I will be at Pinnacle this weekend to learn all that I can. I would just like to point out that this is more of a style of doing a show. I ok'ed the combining with Wayne BEFORE I did it.

If nothing else, it gave everyone something to talk about at the watercooler. . I'm cool with that. I'm just going to head to FL this weekend and learn and have fun.

I'll be easy to spot .. . I'll be the one with the bullet proof vest and big target on his head .. .. lol Nah, in person is the only way .. for anything. I'll be there with bells on. If I cost some people a good time or a few points. .. I will apologize in person. I'm not hard to get along with.

And, just maybe .. after a couple of shows with other Judges I will through a free Single Pointer. . (If I'm still alive .. lol)

Don't sweat it Bobby.

It's true that alot of competitors are in it for wins, points, and trophies. If they show up and don't win (when they could have, if you hadn't changed the brackets) they're gonna be upset.

It seems like you thought you were creating something to generate excitement from the crowd. I like the idea. A lot of judges are pretty boring as MCs. They don't worry about keeping the interest of the viewers at all.

After you attend some shows put on by various judges, I imagine you'll learn to hone your own style of holding a show.

Good luck with your shows. I'll let you know when I can break away and get out to one.

and in his defense the judge of a show has the option to combine classes to keep integrity of the head to head format of dbdrag intact.

this is for single point events only to my knowledge
