Buy a gasket for it. There should be a factory/aftermarket gasket around the base of the cap. If there isn't, you need one.

:cussing: holy moly!!!!!:banghead3:

i forgot how much of a pain in the:cussing: my dist.cap and rotor are to get too,and that when you get to the screws they FALL!!OUT.!!!!!!

thier not even reg phillips head or 1/4 sockets.....their star heads.
itiy bity star heads.........

long story short it took me 1 hr to find the one screw that fell out.

it needed a cleaning.(it really needs to be replaced, but that will have to wait till sunday).there is no place to silicone so i cant do that.

i will ask about a gasket when i get the new one.

i had to do all this cause this morning my truck wouldnt start right away, and after... it sputtered for a few miles.then after it warmed up it ran fine.also did it again tonight leaving work.(the missing/sputtering not the hard starting.then again after a few miles it ran fine.

i hope its just that dist cap/rotor and not somthing else
