I'll be there working the lanes of course.

Just a reminder, everyone make sure that your install is 100% legit for IASCA Finals, trust me, the judges at Finals will be extremely picky on what they are looking at.

Isn't it your local judge's problem to make sure you are legit, especially if you compete in a multi pointer?

Yes, it is up to the Head Judge of the event to make sure that each competitor is within the rules for the class they are placed in.

I was just issuing a little reminder for all competitors who are planning on going to IASCA Finals in Atlanta, to make sure that they are following all the rules for the class they will be competiting in. Some examples of what I am peaking of are to make sure that your power wires are fused, or make sure you have a fire extinguisher on hand when you come thru the lanes, make sure that your box is secure in the vehicle (and no it is no considered secured if you just put a box in with heavy subs, the box must be mounted in vehicle), etc.

I don't want to see someone bumped up in class/division because they didn't comply with a rule they were unaware of.

So.....if we've ran all year and been fine....things could change at World Finals? I surely hope not.

For one, none of my 16 runs of wire are fused.....and none of them will ever be fused. I ran like this at daytona and my car hasn't changed for the most part since then.

I sure hope I wouldn't get bumped out of pro stock because I don't have fuses???

Carlton the rules state that you have 2 opitions with your power wire, run fuses or carry a Fire extinguisher. you don't run fuses, so do like me and go buy a $20.00 fire extinguisher, I don't make you guys carry one because I keep one on my table at each show. I will not be judging Finals no matter how many times the call and ask, if anyone has any questions about the IASCA rules feel free to call me 863-221-4189.

I will be at finals so if you have any problem with any of the Judges come get me and I will be glad to help you work it out.

I will be removing my fuses soon.

Exactly what Mike said. I know that at a lot of events the judges didn't enforce the rule about having to have a fire extinguisher if your power wire(s) aren't fused. I know Mike has one at the judges table, and if someone asks you if you have one, then you can just pick up the one on his table.

I am not saying that the rules are being changed, the rules will be the same as they have been since the 2007 Rulebook came out. I am saying that all competitors at Finals/NOPI need to make sure that they follow all the rules in the rulebook, whether they have been enforced at the local events, or not. Even if something wasn't enforced at a 2X or 3X event doesn't mean that it won't be enforced at Finals.

Better to be safe than sorry.

And like Mike said, if anyone has any questions about IASCA don't hesitate to call me on my cell - 850-896-6525, it is on 24/7.
