Hey, I'm new to the site, not so new to the car audio world. Car is not mine, its my parents(mostly my mom). She basically gave me the car to put a "small" system in it, little did I know she was gonna want to start going to competitions with it. And now I'm here, the box build starts in 6 days, I get 2 sheets 3/4 mdf and Rockford 1/0 for my birthday. Ill have pictures up as soon as I get up and go take the pictures(sometime later today). I came here to get a feel for the rules, and classes and the overall aspect of competing. Set up below.

2002 Durango sxt.

Alpine CDE-9845.
Alpine type S 6.5"s in the doors.
Alpine 400watt mono block.
2 10" kicker L5s.05' model.
Rockford 4ga through out all.
Sealed 1.9cft box( I like rock, nothing like double bass on 10s)
Coming-
Rockford 1/0ga.
Another 400watt mono block.
2.65cft ported 33hz(CRX style)

Possibly new battery

Welcome to the forum, you will find a ton of people and competitors on this forum willing to give you a hand.

I can tell you that after IASCA Finals in the middle of September you will start to see a lot more shows in the panhandle area, and if that is where you are located, by all means come out to a show promoted and judged by North FL Car Audio as well as hit shows put on by Central Florida SPL. The shows will be a blast, and you will always be able to find a helping hand, as well as some pointers for your system.

No better place than FloridaSPL.com and going to the competitions. Looks like a solid 129.9 bassrace or decently competetive local Street A setup.

Welcome to the site!!

Sounds like you and your mom have a good deal working out for you. The setup is nice. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have about competing.
