This is the new box that Im going to build. CRX style,2.5-2.65cft, 33-34hz. 2-10" l5s. The bulging box on the left is the amp rack(2 400 watt alpine mono). Subs mounted to 3/4 with a 3/4 piece to flush/sink the subs down(double baffle is over kill for this setup..I know)
Just wondering what you think about the design and if anything would need to be changed.

Double baffle is never overkill.

I guess your right on that.
Will the port placement have a noticeable effect if it was in the middle compared to the side like it is?

yea... if your into spl then the port needs to be on the driver side...... if you want SQ then it goes in the center... you notice all extreme vehicals have the port on the driver side....

I would like to, but I dont quite have the funds now. Once I get a new job and get used to competing I will step up to 12"s.

Didnt want to make a new thread, so I'll just bump this one back up.
Question about an idea. is 5 cubes to much for my 10" kicker l5s?

Maybe a little, I built a box for a set of l712s that was 6ft, they're air geedy subs from what I hear, but I think 4-4.5net would be cool

ok thanks. I have the chance to get a 5 cube tuned to 37hz for 2 12 l7s, that was a friends. And was gonna cut a new baffle for it(its a really nice box, 45s in all the corners, resin coated.
