I might make it... never been to a real SPL show before, and have yet to be metered on a TermLab.

Hit a 145.8 on an AC mic at the local shows here... I have a trunk car with a single 18", an IA 20.1 (at .5 ohms) and a YellowTop. Any suggestions, should I even try to compete yet?

My sub was made for Bass Race, it's an Fi BTL... but I'm not experienced. I guess I have to start somewhere...

I'm pretty sure if it was a show down here it was a Car Show King show.

Anyone attending the show that would want to show me the ropes?

Just someone who has seen everything, take a look at my car, give me suggestions, tell me how you think I'll do in my class (and what class) and all that?

I'll go if I can meet some people here who can help getting me started as a dB drag competitor :wink:
I have Family in Hollywood area and for what class U will be either or street c 2 batteries, street max 1-2 only 1 battery any other is 2 or super street 1-2 unlimited battery maybe also supper street nw 1-2 also unlimited battery but not sure on the last class and for bass race its all about radio control the bass race class starts at 119 under 120 - 129.9, 130 - 139.9, 140 - 149.9, 150 - 159.9 and last is 160 and up just pick a good bass song and have some fun everybody who does bass race at least 1 time will get hooked just natural :wink: and what JBM said anyone at the show will help out thats how we all start by asking ? to understand things

Bass race is more about the control of your system. dB Drag is purely the loudest wins. The object in bass race is to be the closest to the top of your bracket without going over. It's really meant for the regular loud daily off the street systems.

I'm pretty sure I'd be in Street C... do you think I'll get ***** when competing against two 15s or four 12s? That's what I'm worried about... but you guys would know best, how's the competition in Florida in Street C class?

Oh, and Street C is not Bace Race is it? What's the difference between dB Drag Racing and Bass Race?

street c is about mid 140 thier r a few that can do 150 ish u must turn car off to compete in that class and u can use a tone burp for about 4-5 sec and for bass race ur car is on and u play music for 30 sec with going over in the class that u choose to be in come to the show and ask for any one who is on the Floridaspl forum and the will help out with any more ? u may have

Street C should not be in the 40's at all. With the equipment allowed in this class, it should easily be over a 150, respectively.

Can't wait for the competition :) Just registered for dB drag this weekend. Since I just registered, it means I won't be eligible for World Finals next year, right?

After this competition (as in, a week after) I will be working on the tear down of the box in my trunk and starting a wall! I'm going to get another 18" BTL and either a 40.1 or Adassa Warlord and start working on a nice Bass Race/SM1-2 car.

No, Wayne Harris has cut-off dates usually one month prior to that seasons world finals, so you could wait untill the end of July to getyour membership and still go to WF.

I won't be attending... too much money for a trip when I could be using the money for my next build.

I have one 18" BTL in a trunk with ~2500 watts or so pushing it... I hit a 146 on the AC mid, and I'd be in Street C.

But in less than a week after this show I'll have the wall built, ready for another 18 and ~2500 watts to each... in Street Max 1-2.

My buddy & teammate Robin is going up to the show with a Dodge Neon walled off with two 15" RE MTs ;) He's going to rebuild his wall with 18" MTs shortly after the show as well.

very big show for a 1x John u would of been surprise on the people that competed 129 and 139 full brackets Henry didn't excpect that many people to do drag

Henry won 139.9.. Will won 159.9 thats all I remember of the top of my head I came in 3 in bass race and Shane came in 2nd in bass race for his first true bass race show and as well as Matt

Glad I was able to make it to this show today....awesome turn out. It was good to see everyone again and good luck to those going on to the niceville show tomorrow. Congrats on an awesome job running the show Henry. Not to mention it was hilarious to watch you chatting it up WHILE running bass race :P Congrats to those who took home trophies. Good to see some of the Florida peeps again....will probably see you guys next weekend at the next Orlando show :P

Yeah the judges were pretty much dumping water on the chics head...yeah their shirts didn't get too wet....when they were on hahahahaha...but they didn't keep their shirts on either hahaha.
