I will get it playing this week.. on 500 watts lmao! but I am placing a wire order in a day or two and hopefully I have this coming weekend free again and I will wire it all up then.. I won't have it full power til I get a chance to pull my headliner and deaden it..

Sent in my MB Quart 4.125 for an exchange for a possible defective unit. Won't get it another one in about 2 weeks :( I hate having to ship defective items back and forth.


But I did get a good laugh driving home today from class listening to only basslines.

Got the MB Quart back and the tweeters are still giving the raspy noise, none from the mids now. Turned the mid eq on the headunit to -6 and the noise slightly went away but it's still there. Going to pick up the Crescendo XST passive crossovers and see from there.

On the side note, going to upgrade soon with 2 PSI Platform 2 12s so I can use the 3KWP...and once they arrive...going back to Robin to beautify everything. Can't wait!

Just emailed David for 2 custom PSI Platform 2 12s. Also asked to get the baskets painted glossy blood red :eyebrow:. Wanted the subs to stand out when I get the plexi job done.

I actually got the xovers a while ago and man, they fixed the problem. I started to tune it a bit yesterday to make it a bit louder and it sounded really nice to me. Dunno how it would sound to others cause everyone has different tastes, but to me, I like it a lot. Haven't done a distance test yet though. Don't wanna to bother my neighbors lolol...

A lot of people said the Onyx 4.125 is quite good for the price, I've never had any other 4 channel since this is my first system and it works for me. I dunno if it was just me, but I had problems with the onboard crossovers for the tweeters, it worked well for the mids though.

Now the 3KWP, is just sitting in my living room just collecting dust. Seriously can't wait to use it when I get the PSIs in. :eyebrow:

Gain wasn't up too high, less than half. Each speaker is probably getting about 50-60 watts a piece. They sound okay to me, only paid about $200 for 4 mp8s 4 mp6s and 4 xst2s. Could of been a better option for the $200 i paid for the speakers, but oh well.

Yeah, I remember you lol. I don't think I really gave you a demo of what the mids and highs can do. The vocals in the midrange sound really good from what I've been messing around with and the highs just scream at you, not really what I like, probably have to find a different route.

Sounds decent for the price it's priced at, but then again the PWX series just took over the MP series, which are now discontinued.

It actually sounded pretty good when I put in some country songs on it today. If you want, I can have you hear them. It's only when I put up rock/metal songs with the guitars on heavy distortion is when it sounds like *** and it begins to pierce your ears at higher volumes.

I figured it may but my concerns are, everyone I have ever seen run pa equipment are constantly changing eq settings for every song so they don't sound terrible.. that would be annoying real fast.. other concern was having to buy multiple speakers to fill the bandwidth.. midbass, midrange, tweeter.. I don't want to customize my doors.. hoping a single 6 1/2" can accomplish mid bass/range duties... I have XS 65s right now and they sound GREAT.. so I don't want to change if I can't get something to sound atleast somewhat as good..

can't tell much of anything from a video.. People confuse CLEAR with SQ.. clear sounding is easy to accomplish and very cheap.. cut out the mid bass and any of the complicated ranges.. I am looking for at least some tonal accuracy as well..

I need to return my mb quart again, having problems with it...and you can have a hear whenever you want. its definitely louder than it was with the skars, but then again i'm using custom platform 2s that can handle 1500-2500 rms and running a 3kwp now instead of the skars and hifonics.

Alot of unstable mechanical movement, but they may go foreva. You never know, but looks like you have the right subs for the power.

Heard it yesterday and it sounded great! the mids/highs sounded better than I expected.. I think a nice Eq and some hours of tuning and I could get them exactly how I liked em. I would probably double the power on em also.
