whats up guys! I love car audio, but don't have the room or the $ for some big fancy system. I have 1 JL Audio 10w7 in a ported enclosure, powered by a JL Audio 500/1 Mono Amplifier. I have MB Quart Mids/Highs and a Pioneer HeadUnit. I have had many Systems over the years and love the feel of BASS! Whats it take really to enter a show for SPL? What must I hit to acive ne thing? Do they have a class for a system like mine? Let me know, I'd love to get into this more. I live in a small town
(Lake City) and they have nothing here. We have 2 Car Audio shops and thats about it.
I like the way my one 10 sounds and most people don't believe me when I tell them it is only 1 10. They usually think its 2 12's or 15's. IT WILL POUND. Once again, let me know some info. on what I can do to be better and enter shows.

Welcome to the boards! We have another member that is from Lake City as well, says it is pretty boring there. There is a small street class for you in most SPL organizations. Some local events will have "mini street" where you'll just be competing against local people who are new to competing. I'd suggest just keeping track of up coming events and come and hang out at one.

We have a BIG empty old K-Mart Lot that we can probably get use of or the fair grounds. What all would have to be done. Come on LC lets get together here.

The owner of that strip mall is a jackass. The auxilarry lots at the mall would be ideal.

Audiowaves has an AC mic, but steve thinks his shop is too good for something like that. SoundCitation might be in on it, but I dont know if they even have a Mic. Shawn Flemming and I wanted to put togather a meet/show...but it kinda fell through and now everyone is just going to the CA.com Tampa Meet on newyears. Shawn has a Termlab, I dont know if he has two sensors though.

If we get enough people in on it ill make some contacts.
