I have a 2000 Dodge dakota extended cab truck and I am wanting to build a down firing box (don't want everything showing to unwanted eyes) and I have a couple of questions. I think I am going to go with 3 T3 TSS 12"s. w/ subs and port down. Should I place the port towards the back or front of the box? The truck also has a metal frame where the back seat sits. Should I put a sub floor on top of this frame to make it flat? Also how high should I make the bottom of the box? Just trying to get everything set so I don't have to build this thing 10 times. Thanks and keep it loud!!!

Subs down port down or subs down port to the drivers side.

Depends. At least Half the port diameter is the rule of thumb I always heard. If you are using slots 1/8 your port area is the other rule of thumb. You also need at least 3" between the cone and the floor for 12's so whichever is the larger of the two. This is assumeing you are going to have it open on all 4 sides. You will need a little bigger if you are going to close 3 of the 4 sides off.

Hes talking about a false floor behind the seats.
I yea, I would make a little "bench" if you will, for it to sit/mount to.

In the back of the truck there is a metal frame that sticks up about 2" all the way across the front where the bottom of the back seat rested on. What I am wondering is should I fill up this viod with something or should I build a subfloor and secure it real good? Or both?

I wouldnt worry about it. If your run bolts through your legs it will be plenty secure. :)
