10s that will get the job done!!

ok i need some help...

want to know if anyone has an idea on some 10s (2) that can be around 145 to 147 and an enclosure that will fit in the back of my extended cab ranger probly around 4 cubic feet ported and down firing.. or my best possible enclosure that will get the job done... amd keep me in the stock 1 and street A.

I have some funds but they are not endless/

i currently have 2 kicker comp 10s with 150 watts on each, they do a 136 which about right.. thought about upgrading to comp vrs so i can drop my amps to a 2 ohm load... not sure if this will do the trick..

need to stay with only 2 due to the classes i want to compete in!

Well I am in Stock 1 with 2 10's and I use T3 Audio TSS 10s. I absolutely love these subs. They can get loud, and don't require a lot of airspace to do so. check them out www.t3audio.com

Chris, I'd skip the CVR's and look into CVX's. Those will get the job done!

i think thats a great idea.... i think those are 1200 max... 600 rms..
kickers web site says they go in the same box as comps and compvrs... any thoughts on that???

yup checked it out..... they say same enclosure will do it...

Now, should i run them @ 1200 a piece or bout 800 apiece...ive heard if you have seperate enclosures its best to run seperate amps..
any truth to that

get your hands on 2 funkin audio sx 10s and put em in a small ported box , mick cotton had 2 of them in his rx and hooked them up to my o2 3000d and burped them for a few minutes and was almost able to hit 150 db with em ....sold subs if you can find em any more..

well the 10s i decided on arent quite getting the job done.... i did a 139.7 @ my db drag event sunday...... i got a directed 1100d running @ 1 ohm

gonna try to get some steady voltage.... need a new alternator 220 amp probly.... gonna strap those amps... think 2200 @ 2 ohms will get it done if not i have an option of getting audiobahn 1800d ..... 1800 @ 1 ohm.... kinda worried that 2200 will blow those 10s out of the box....

140 with 2 10's on 1000w isnt bad. To gain more SPL you will need to add more power and more box work. That is the sort of problem you run into when you limit cone area. :)

yo drop u def need a new box. that u have has to many jagged edges on the inside and thats were u are loosing dbs. go with a L-ported box with the 2 l7's and experement with the port length. i think i am going to keep my box ported like it is now to keep the 164.7 in the port. i dont know how it will effect the port dbs if i go with a shorter port but we wont know til i do it!

Maybe, maybe not. Maybe by more than a dB, maybe just a few tenths. Sub and system dependant. :)
