nice let me know how it works out. I have choice the Iraggi because i bought the extra life time exchange warranty, but I still ike to know how well different products work.

It's a 180amp alternator, but I just had to take it out because it wasn't making power at idle. I'm sending it back to Excessive Amperage to have them take a look at it.

rub it in :yeah:

I had to send mine back to Iraggi for the same reason, wouldnt make an y power at idle. I think our Idle is too low, so I am pretty sure I will have him put a external regulator on it toware it will charge at lower RPMs

An external regulator isn't going to change much. It only allows you to dial in the voltage instead of the car responding to load. The alternator still has to make power at low rpm before you can think about adjusting its output via a ext. regulator.

The car also thinks there is a no alternator connected when you're externally regulated, so you'll have a check engine light on more than likely.

oh well then I didnt know about that.....so no to external regulater then!!!

When you found out whats wrong be sure to post it!!

you could just run a smaller pulley, therefore increasing how fast the alt turns at the same rpm......

My alternator already had a overdrive pulley on it. Didn't work.

You have to be extremely careful with that. Mis-matching pulleys onto an alternator improperly can result in a quick death for your new alt!

yeah you can't get stupid with it, but it does work. I did that with my mustang b/c i had underdrive pulleys on the water pump and crank for power, but wanted no light dimming etc. at idle. was merely a sugg.
