Hello everyone, is anyone else feeling bored as hell? I meen it seems the season came to such a climax , it left me wanting more. I know some of us are waiting on new stuff to put in the car, or maybe doing those honey-do's the miss' has waited till the season to be done. man, this sucks!!! I even have new stuff coming and a new vehicle. but man the thrill of competion has very much bitten me. Well it's only 2 weeks, maybe i'll mellow out by then. THANKS for letting me VENT!! BangHead.gif :D

well at least you have a system! i took out my 6 15s because i sold my amps and im selling the subs lol

its annoying driving around only having 4 5x7s and 2 tweeters.

I feel u AJ. I atleast got some local comps to look forward to this weekend. Those keep me entertained. Hey GM I know what you mean, driving around with no subs, man that sux specially when the guy comes next to you at the stop light and "thinks" hes bumping and you go to turn it up and NOTHING. Man that SUX ***.

Yeah after spending almost every waking moment wondering if you did enough tweaking, then all of a sudden there's nothing to do and no shows to worry abouth.

Well only a couple of weeks away and we'll be back at it!

Actually for the first time in like almost 2 months I camr home on Monday and close the garage and went inside to realx and watch TV I feelt so wear and bored doing that....but guess what the next day I came home took all subs out and took my wall out completly :lol:

I hear you...I'm in the middle of taking all my amps and batts out too. I can't wait to see how high the rear of my van sits when everything is out :lol: I'll have to let some air out of the air shocks!

Well GM, i don't have anything but mids and highs in the rex . which still will be coming out soon if Miguel still wants the 1st.gen. rex. just thinking about pulling the 4/0 out, the alternator, radio makes me kringe! soon the build up comes and maybe i will be happy again. Let me see 4) stands of 4/0 positive wire then 4) stands of ground ,2) batteries pc2150 then 4) amps then build a box for 2)15's. ofcourse thats after the dynamat and many hours of pulling whats left of my hair out , trying to get loud! When you are a car audio installer the thought of no radio kills ya! But , sacrifices are made for the end result! an AWARD winning car. so enough pissing and moaning back to work. Let me know your thoughts guys. it will reassure me i am not the only one. :D

Hell GM, the rex was doing 148.7 with a kx-1200 kicker , then 150.8 with a 4000 opti.it will damn sure get loud with more power in its hatch. and that is with 2) 18 solox. Miguel should make it slam with what he has. I needed more power, it's coming soon in the 2nd gen rex. oh, dont discount pawn shops sometimes you can find a good deal on somethings. we can spend thousands on a car or just a few dollars on it and be a big winner!!!! :D and i am still bored!!!

Thanx GM alot of work and help has gone a long way since I bought the blazer a yr ago now I just can't wait till I get the rex in my hands and show what 1gen can compare to the 2gen

You know Miguel all you need do is ask and i'll be there !!! :D Just let me know if you'll need some 4/0 power wire . i have the hook up @ about $3.00 a foot . I might be in your class, but you are still a class act in my book. Believe me i want to see it loud also. i might get 2 10" lightning audios from a friend and ill buy a cheap amp from a flea market to push them for 2 months or so until i get my new stuff.

buying 5 kinetik monsters tomorrow.... there goes some money lol

my new setup in my expedition will be:

4 fully loaded 18" Fi BTLs
4 Powerbass XA3000Ds
5 kinetik monsters
2 260 amp iraggi amputators (most likely)
12-16 eminence 6.5s
12-16 eminence bullet tweets
all powerbass mids/highs amps
all walled off in cargo area. ginormous port tuned to 36hz or so.

i think it should get loud 8)

all those eminence mids and tweets are going to make for a very crappy sound stage. I would back off on them and get maybe three pairs of mids and tweets.two sets in pods in the doors and one set in the kicks if necessary. I honestly think with the right power on them you can do two mids and two tweets in the doors and be just fine.

ya, i know it wont sound fantastic... not going for sq here. probably to be like 3 6.5s and maybe 2 tweets in each door.

should be loud, and shouldnt sound that bad. ive heard some eminence installs that sounded really nice actually

Trying to drive my truck with more comfort Chris....hey man I think I need bigger holes for my distro block :cry: Those holes are bored for 1/0 cable with .002" clearance (tight fit). I test fitted it myself before I brought them down. I used the STINGER HPM wire (what I'm using). It'll fit man. Just gotta work at it. I'll have to make it down there to visit ALL you guys (when I can get some time off work).

HINT.........when you strip the jacket off the wire, be carefull not to spread the wire. It's a perfect fit! :shock: Not much room for error.

If you can't get the wire in (atall cost). Ship it back to me and I'll enlarge the holes. I allowed .002" clearance for a semi tight fit. I hate having a wire that wobbles around in a hole. Kinda like sex ya know...........good and tight!
