also, my only tint ticket is a total is $76.50 :)

1st ticket about 2 months ago, in nearly 4 years.

nothing beats casey's getting pulled over 2 times in 10 minutes for tint LOL!!!!

I'm thinking 3 tint tickets in one stop including harrassment and locals convicting him wins the prize.

n00b cops with nothing better to do but harass people with tint. KickinAudio once told me something to the effect of, "There's no penalty for people driving with sunglasses, but tint is a punishable offense."

That doesn't make sense - I've worn shades that resemble the double 5% effect. Personally, tint is safer than sunglasses. I typically take my shades off when I get in my truck anyway.

Screw 'em - the tint remains.

The idea is the cops cant see you but you can see them and at night time the tint remains so you cant see as well.

What are they needing to see? Am I a presumed criminal?

i dont know if you guys know this, but you can get a medical order that allows you to have darker tint. its something like when people get handicapped placards.

walk in offices are known for that kind of thing around here.

Yes, the exact reason for tint laws along with impaired night vision.

Florida cops will approach a car with dark tint pretty relaxed. However, up north where 35% will get you a ticket, they approach a car with something like double 5% like it is a bomb. Pansies.

Yes, but this only allows for just past legal. Double 5 all around and 5% on the windsheild isnt needed. They expect you to still wear sun glasses.

Haha I wish that was true. I've been handcuffed, arms locked behind me, asked to walk backwords while officers have their hands on their guns. I've also had some that are knocking on my window before I've rolled it down. It all depends on the cop.

it depends on what u tell them, my friend pj got one because skin cancer is prone in his family. they dont let him have double 5%, but who really needs it (besides vj)

Windshield:
Non-reflective tint is allowed along the top of the windshield above the manufacturer's AS-1 line.

Front Side Windows Must allow more than 28% of light in.

Back Side Windows Must allow more than 15% of light in.

Rear Window Must allow more than 15% of light in.

7% is still illegal lol
