i have 4 12's in a 10cf box and 2 18's in a 20cf box whats the discusion about mixing 2 different size woofers in the same car? bad because of canceling out or do it if it sounds good? just wondering so ill be able to decide rater to take one or the other out if any
mixing woofer sizes can be a chalenge. if you go sealed it will probobly sound good. if you go ported it moast likely will be a pain, due to getting to boxes and subs to tune together. on top of that you will need to tune the actual output of the subs to match. this again is a problem. my recomendation would be to stay away from doing this. if you want to be loud i would recomend to stay with woffers that are the same size model and so on. mixing woffers can be done and has been done but it is a chalenge when mixing woofers to get the cancilation down and achieve good sound quality or even a loud number on the mic.
good luck

yea i found that out real fast after installing the 2 18's and playn the 4 12's at the same time it just sounded muddy and not worth the effort to keep all 6 going at the same time
