I dont think it is so much about hating as it is the difference in opinions of what loud is. I think people go on the fact that with the average half *** installs many people do the better and normaly more expensive eguipment will be the one that in most cases will come out on top.

At alot of shows the installers institute will take some super cheap sub and amp set up and does some amazing install and gets numbers you have to see to believe. That’s why so many people say that your system is 90% install 10% equipment. Even in your case with a better install that same equipment could get quite a bit better.

due the above i say purchase what you can afford and what you like. Do the very best install you can with that equipment. only you have to like your set up.

Sounds good to me one 12 @ 4ohms on 1100 watts. Box is around 3 cubes after port and displacement. Should be interesting. (with an evil laugh)..

hell if its a 1 12 competition ive got a memphis Shp 12 dual 2ohm coils in a 2.25 cubic ft enclosure ported @ 40 -42hz not built for spl but has hit 139db with a kicker KX 800.2 run mono at 4 ohms. ill throw it back in the car - 1995 mercury sable gs if you have the event close enough to Crestview. I just finnished a 3.58 cubic ft enclosure ported @ 43 hz for my Orion XTR PRO 15D
now I get to see what it does on saturday in Destin, FL - maybe 140ish

It's not always the Sub that makes the numbers A lot of it has to do with the box. I'm at 140+ because of a very good box design. You've heard my stuff and seen the numbers in the lanes....lol..And Yes I will be in Gainsville. I missed Tally because I had sold my old subs, and had nothing in the car at that time.

I dropped down to 1 sub now and resduced the poer by over 1000 watts I will be bass racing the lil green monster mostly. But hey I am always up to burping it just for fun.

I did that with my blazer several years ago like 1197-1998 it had a kicker 15 and 2 pioneer 10s. a friend and i both put our Dr pepper bottles on the roof near the windshield and he decided to put his class ring in the center. when the dr pepper bottles started to fall we got them and have never seen the class ring since. $600 gone but at least we saved the drinks

sweet i have same model pair in 10" and 4 in 15" my opinion is that the 10" and 15" are louder 4 some reson realy dam deep i dint like the 12" sound same as 10" to b honest but is cool that you have it still good sub but i think you need better box... mine is way bigger and wider dont care about the sapace and it gets realy deep in a good good port box. gg do.
