Well I have an opti2000d for power and two T3 TSS 12's. Right now the pair is in 2.5 cuft with 30 inches of port tuned to 32 hz. I want to try to get more out of them the problem is there getting warm and at times a little stinky. I'm afraid that if i go bigger on the box then I'll for sure blow them after some time. I was thinking maybe a 4th order bandpass would work for me. I see many people who run them using GOBS of power. So it appears they increase power handling and get loud. Problem is ive never built or designed a bandpass and i need some help. I have plenty of space but my restraint is no more than 34" wide. If anyone could help that would be great. Thanks in advance

First of all, there is a limit to how loud 2 speakers can get. If they're getting warm, you're sending a clipped square wave to them and they're gonna blow up. You need an oscilliscope.
I can help you with designs of boxes, but you shouldn't expect a miraculous difference in a 4th order box. The super street and extreme guys that run a bandpass have multiple subs in a wall. They are tuning their subs to one frequency that corresponds to the resonant frequency of their vehicles.
If you want ONLY spl, then you won't like the way it sounds with music and you will potentially blow them up if you play below the tuning freq of the box. If you want a musical box, then it won't be the loudest possible at your vehicle's frequency.
You have to make a choice. Do you want a system you can listen to all day and show off? Or do you want to go after a state or world record and build for SPL?

This is by far for daily loudness. Honestly I dont care if i doesn't do anything past low 40's as long as it appears louder to the ears. Mostly all the stuff i listen to is in the 30-50hz region. Mainly young jeezy, lil john, and anything with tons of bass. I think i know why there getting warm to. Its actually a stupid mistake i made, I turned the gain down on my highs amp a tad a while back so they peak at volume 40 while the subs peak at about 36-37. I need to turn the gain a bit on the highs and I think the subs will be better. Does 4th order really help in raising the power handling mechanically? I was guessing since these subs seem to like small boxes so much maybe 2.0-2.5 in the main chamber and 1.0-1.5 in the other. Not sure on port though...Thanks for the help man.

Clipping is clipping no matter what. It doesn't matter what your gain is set at, what size the enclosure is, etc. You need to find a local shop with an oscilliscope and check the output of your amp to find out what volume level presents the subs with a clip-less signal.
I can help you design an enclosure for your subs, but you need to keep from abusing them.
I got your PM. I'll talk to you later.
