how much power (what amp if you got an idea) should i use for a DD 3510d sub that is dual 2 ohm. i was thinking about giving it 2000 watts. but thought i would get some opinions from some pros...:eyebrow:

I would stick to 12-1500 watts for a 3510.

Most any amp that makes 12-1500 at 1ohm will suffice.

any that you know of that make 1500 real watts not rated at 1500 and effieciency rating of 75%

why would you want the efficiency rating to be exactly 75%? And it to NOT be rated for 1500? Just buy one of thewes' 1500 and call it a day

how much is thewes looking for for his amp and which amp is it....i was saying i want real 1500 watts not something that is rated at 1500 watts and never reaches it.

I would find something 2000 watts rms so that you have all the power you need and never need to clip the amp's output. .

well pedro i have a 1200 watt rms amp made by cerwin vega. the exl-1200d so should i jus use that amp?

sure why not. that way your not spending any extra cash.

use it till you can get a better/bigger amp.

Man it only took 20 minutes to sell that amp. Sorry.. They are really good amps. Anyway Rick the guy who bought it ended up killing me in port wars with that amp...lol

I have run the PCA2000D for over a year now and love it... The one in the car now runs a bit over 2000 WRMS if my math was correct...lol

deffinately not good to burn wires. Ive got 2 1000 watt @2ohms MA Audio M1900XE mono block amps im willing to trade if any 1 has an xtra 2000 watt mono block that can run 2ohms. Im using 1 of the ma amps to run XTR PRO 15D and 1000 wats just aint enough for me. id like to get a kicker 1200.1 or better

There are plenty of amps making 1500w for a reasonable price. Find one that you like. If you arent sure about it ask and we can give our opinion on it. No one amp is the end all be all.

Personally I like Hifonics for budget amps and I run Sundown. Sundown is good people and great product.

I have like the eD equipment for about 3-4 years now. I have a buddy of mine that used to run 4 of their eu-700 (6.5" subs) on 2 nINE.1 amps. Those amps are actually under rated, he ran everything off the stock electrical system and didn't have any problems, until he strapped the amps together and tried to run them at .5ohm, then he had some voltage problems. :)

i only have 4 gauge going to it with the big 3 and my stock 105 amp alt with zero voltage issues. until i ran the sub stage @ 1ohm. then the voltage dropped a little.
