Yeah sorry. Just too long of a drive with the kids. Thankfully Troy is not nearly as far:) I hope everyone there has a great time. Hopefully Chris can do a 143 or better this time. He needs it, I am on his heels

Oh I will be there, probably with our little cheering section, just like in Chipley. I have to find a way to gain a little, Rick is getting too close for comfort, not to mention, I have no idea what Mick has done since Chipley. I am not so sure that I can hold onto that 1st place in stock 1, even if Dave doesn't show. If he shows I will just hope to grab second.

yea the shows around here are getting harder and harder to win, everyone is getting louder and louder. That is whats so cool about this area right now. Competition is up & up.
I know right after the Chipley show Mick went out and got an Alpine to make sure he dont skip again. I think he is going to be running all Funkin Audio this weekend.
Well I'll be there with my hoopty and just 1 amp but I will be there.
See ya this weekend...

Any ideas what Mick is hitting now? Just curious  I know I will find out this weekend though. Hopefully I can at least get on a meter this weekend to see where I am at.

Seems like after Dave, the rest of the Stock 1 competition is pretty close! Should make for a fun season :D

I give it two months and all the stock classes will be a fight.
No one seems to be close to dave in stock 1 and josh in stock 2 but ya know anything can change that fast.

well the shop still has no clue as to a date when my 2 amps will be in so ill mostlikley be at the show in the same condition as chipley lol but ill be there for sure, if anything ill put one of the subs on my mid amp and see what it can do for me lol

Brandon, don't worry about power. You're covered one way or another, I think.
I know I have an amp or two you can use. If nothing else, and we can't get the fosgate amps swapped out from my vehicle to yours in time, I've always got that mtx amp as well.

Gimmie a call in the afternoon.

Mike

he i say since you have 2 of the same amps and in the same class.
one use one amp and the other use the other and see who is louder.
it will be based just on the box then. one amp 2 subs.
thats competition...

I thought about that as well. We might just have to do that! It should be fun.

There's a few other factors to consider as well.
The impedance of the subs, so if he can get both subs wired to give the amp a 2ohm load, he'll be louder, because I'll have to run both of mine in series for a 4ohm load. ( A 1ohm load sends the amp into protect mode. Been there, done that.)

The effeciency of the subs - mine are rated at 87db@1watt@1meter, so if his are rated at 91db, of course he should be louder if all else is equal, etc...

Overall, I'm up for it though, just to see what happens. Isn't that what it's all about anyway?

Worse comes to worse you could snag your 2nd amp back before the 2nd run

Well, unfortunately I can't make the show today. I was driving my car yesterday when my "Check Engine" light came on. The car is still driving fine, and it is not leaking any fluids anywhere, so I wasn't too upset, plus with it being a holiday weekend, I figured that most people are traveling, so I will call the dealership and get my car in to be looked at. Well that was a good idea, until I call the Hyundai Dealership, and they said that they can't get me in until Monday @ 8:15am. So I asked them how much to look at the car, and tell me what is wrong, $85 just to diagnose the problem, and if I choose to have them do it, they will take that $85 and put it towards the total bill. I said ok, but I really have to go out of town on Saturday, is there anyway I can get it in this afternoon, I asked them, again he told me the earliest is Monday 8:15am, so I went ahead and took the appt. I know that since I am not going to Ft. Walton Beach today, it will be a simple fix, like an O2 Sensor, or something, if I do go to the show, just my luck, something dreadful will happen like my engine seizing up, and then I will be really screwed. So I have decided to play it safe, and not make the drive to Ft. Walton Beach

Sorry Guys, it is just that with money being tight for the next couple of weeks, I can't take a chance on not having my car working, just to hit 1 show, this way I can make sure that I hit the rest of the shows this year.

Sorry to hear about the car trouble. You did miss a great show though. Was really fun.
I know I was almost knocked out of first place by Brandon and his white work van. He came in only half a db under me. I have to say CONGRATS Brandon for the great increase on your score!! It's going to be really interesting during future shows!

I think I could have taken 1st in Stock 1. Maybe next time:) Sounds like everyone had a great time. I see the battle for 2nd & 3rd was close in Stock 2 as well. Things are shaping up for the double pointer!

Now that I'm awake and not feeling too sick from the 'meatless nachos' from dinner lastnight - I forgot to mention the wing eating contest, the hooters girls tossing the funkin audio speaker rings around people, and the crowning moment - paying Chuck (A PEI installer) twenty bucks to drink a glass of chunky blue cheese dressing, then sitting him in Terrys car while it was burped. Amazingly, he held it all down.

I see that Mick's score was .2 db down from Chipley. Is he still having some problems or did the heat just zap his score. Maybe he was just sand bagging:)

Sorry I missed the activities, well I will know the extent of the reason for the "Check Engine" Light, tomorrow, hopefully it is something simple, easy, and cheap to fix.
