This is not IASCA Finals.

IASCA Finals will be at Spring Break Nationals in March location Daytona Beach

I made this post so people will stop calling me and wanting to know if this show is IASCA Finals. Once again it's just a 3x

Why is it every post made about this show someone is posting that it is not IASCA finals?

NOT ONE TIME HAS ANYONE SAID,HINTED,OR EVEN ASSUMED that this is IASCA FINALS.

SO WHY IS IT THIS IS POSTED OVER AND OVER AGAIN?

I see where you put that people are calling you. but for god sake if they havent figured it out yet then maybe they just shouldnt be doing this.

it gets old seeing it over and over again.

and if people are calling you then why reply here not once has anyone asked here or the other threads if it was IASCA FINALS or not.

look Terry the topic says Finals, its the last word in the sentence. its misleading to many people. just doing what I think is right, so it's not confusing to people. let's not make post personal. I post what I post because it's what I feel is a step in the right direction not because joe blow is my friend, it is after all a public forum.

Hi Mike,

I was just notified of your concern and asked to look into it.

Mike, I can understand your concern with the word "Finals" and the frustration you must have from the calls you've received; but, it does say the 2008 Car Audio Nationals Finals, which is the name of the Car Audio Nationals event taking place that same weekend.

It's doesn't state "2008 IASCA Finals", so if there are people assuming that it's IASCA, they should read the complete post before calling anyone; doing otherwise means they're jumping to conclusions without getting all the details...

Also, there shouldn't be any confusion at all really... especially since the name of the IASCA Finals is now changed to the "IASCA North American Championships"... nowhere in that name does it say "Finals".

I hope that everyone can appreciate why the name was changed and hopefully everyone can start calling the event by its new (and proper) name.

The IASCA North American Championships are being held at the Spring Break Nationals event in Daytona Beach, alongside an IASCA TKE event. Those who qualify for the Championships will receive an invitation and be eligible to win cash prizes (a minimum 50% of the entries collected will go back to the competitors). Everyone can enter the IASCA TKE event, however only those invited can compete in the Championships.

I hope this helps clarify guys; this weekend's event in Atlanta is definitely going to be awesome. I for one am looking forward to being there and judging in the lanes... it's been a while... :P

I hope to see some of you there this weekend!

All the best,

Moe

Mike-
Thanks for the clarification. This is only a 3x event for IASCA, MECA and USACi. And all three will be offering World Records or State Records at this show. And this is the ONLY show I am aware of that all three organizations are at and are doing a 3x event. So just from that perspective it is pretty cool.

Car Audio Nationals Finals is named so because we have done CASH give aways at three shows this year. And now we have some world class past world champions giving away 3k on the SQ side and we are giving away cash on the SPL side as well this weekend.

So if you wanna have a little fun come on up to atlanta this weekend.

I am hoping to see Terry in his latest bikini at the pool party.... :-)

look Terry the topic says Finals, its the last word in the sentence.

the topic says
Car Audio Nationals 2008 Finals

if people only read the last word then i return to my previous statement of "if people cant figure it out then maybe they shouldnt be doing this".

its misleading to many people.

there is and has not been anything misleading about it.

just doing what I think is right, so it's not confusing to people. let's not make post personal.
i never make anything personal

I post what I post because it's what I feel is a step in the right direction
same here

not because joe blow is my friend,
my post had nothing to do with WHO posted what, though your post could be misconstrued by some, becasue you have known issues with people

it is after all a public forum.

your right thats why i replied.

oh and Mike i just want to point out that in not one of the MANY DBDRAG WORLD FINALS post have you ever posted that it was not IASCA WORLD FINALS.

FINALS being the last word in the majority of those thread titles

x2 CAN Finals doesn't = IASCA Finals

But the large colored font was a little overboard. Apparently lurkers saw the thread and started making phone calls, that's why no posts. Guess they missed my post on FloridaCarAudio.com (http://www.floridacaraudio.com/iasca-car-audio-nationals-september-20th-21st/) breaking this event down in detail.

dB Drag World Finals does not have in the post Motorsport Nationals which is replacing NOPI like this on does.

as for my issues with people, I will leave that alone, no since in beating a dead horse.

Mike your argument was that the title of the threads last word was FINALS and thats why it was misleading.

and "Motor sports Nationals which is replacing NOPI" still does not mislead anyone to think that it is IASCA FINALS (North American CHampionships)

as i stated before if people cannot figure it out by now then they should not be doing this.

LET ME EXPLAIN. When Car Audio Nationals was started as a Sound Quality Series at the beginning of this year we used the IASCA SQ Scoresheet at Spring Break, The USACi SQ Scoresheet at Scrapin the Coast, then the MECA SQ Scoresheet at the Elite Summer Nationals Event. If you entered into one of these events you qualified to go to the "FINALS" for Car Audio Nationals being held at the Georgia International Convention Center this weekend September 20th and 21st, 2008. AT this event Motorsports Nationals we are also having an IASCA TKE (3X and IdBL & Bass Boxing Event), MECA State Championship and 3X event and USACi 3X Event. I have just heard that Ralph will be there also so this should mean that you can try and break a new USACi World Record Event also. (Do not quote me call Ralph at USACi for this information. The MECA team will be there with bells on and all three organizations will be there to answer and help in anyway they can. NOTE: The IASCA Finals as we know it is moved to Spring Break Nationals. FORGET the word FINALS. The new name will be annouced by Moe from IASCA. This event as we know it at Spring Break next year will be called , "The IASCA North Amercian Nationals" or something to that effect.

So if you want to come to IASCA, MECA or USACi 3X events this weekend try and break some World Records, Win 20 percent of the enter fee from IASCA's IdBL and Bass Boxing back to the 1st Place winner in each class. Have a Pool Party Saturday Evening at the Holiday Inn Select, free beer and BBQ until it last, the winner of the swimsuit contest at the Pool Party (note: this swimsuit contest is for the ladies and the guys, wonder if Steven Head will be there as a girl) will receive a BatCap 300 and the event judged by the BatCap girls and have a FUN time then come on and you are more than welcome to join in with us cause I am going to have a great time and hang out with all you guys. If you can not make it to Atlanta because of gas, can't get off work, can't close the shop, and live in Florida Mike Hadden is doing a Single point event Sunday at Pure Pressure in Gainsville, FL.

If you bring your own Beer it has to be in a CAN, hotel Rules. The hotel has a Bar and Restaurant also.

By the Way we already have 84 pre-registered competitors already :-)

Hope this explains whats going on and the swimsuit contest Saturday at the Pool party should be lots of fun and there are going to be some surprises for sure. Please be careful in your travels.

MY 2cents:

A couple phone calls = not a prob
Over 10(different people) = Problem

There are ALOT of newbies out there who don't know the in's & out of competeing or any one. The whole IASCA nationals /finals thing is confusung to some. ESPECIALLY the new people.

Problem with the title STATES Nationals & Finals Ya there are people who obviously got confused. Get over it!

Ya some are probalby lurkers for what ever reason they have( I lurked for over a year!!!) Who cares if they lurk there here and oneday might sign up.

I know we get phonecalls ALL hours of the day and night and when we can help, we do. That's what a bussiness owner does who deals with the public like we do. That's how we do soo many shows. All we try to do is make this sport the best we can.

Mike wasn't tryin to piss anyone off it was simply a statement to let the people know. He meant no disrepect. But just because no one posted that doesn't mean anything. Hell ,we would be there if we could. I hope it's a great show. Once again Get over it!

Obviously you do not know IASCA rules. Rookies,(first year competitors in the rookie class), and active Military get automatic invites. Just because some one is new does not mean they don't have enough points to go either. We get 1 to 5 newbies at everyone of our shows. Mike & I give them all the info we can but for people who have never done this it is confusing. Look Mike & I deal with the public EVERYDAY not just with this but our day jobs as well. It doesn't matter how you feel it's all about making this the best we can. Like I said earlier GET OVER IT!.

For Jereme & Floydster Hope it's a great show!

Terry Jackson

GET OVER IT!.

get over what? We are having a conversation.

maybe i ought to explain my feelings on this.

with every post made about the show this weekend in atlanta there was a post made about it NOT being iasca finals.

to me this was merely a way of post dumping on the orignal post.

and to me there IS/WAS no way in hell, no matter how new you are that you could have confused these events.

and as far as dealing with the public.....what does that have to do with anything.

Terry Jackson
09-19-2008, 08:22 AM
as far as knowing the rules you are right. i have had no reason to know the rules as IASCA has not intriqued me.

but i do know that at one time it was stated that there should be NO shows within a 500 mile radius of a 3X TKE event but that didnt stop your show from being scheduled for this weekend.

and before this above statement get blown out of hand let me say this. I wish the best for both shows as i think any show for this sport we all love is a great thing.

Terry it looks to me like this is some how become a personal issue for you, it's not to me it's just business, once again I will state if I had amps and was not asked to do a show by Step, I would be at this show, most of my teammates are going to this show, my posts were made to stop the many phone calls I was receiving, nothing more. So have a nice day.
