Quick question, will the spray expanding foam hold up to fiberglass or will it melt?

Do you mean can you glass over it? Yes.

thanks man. I just heard that certain foams will not stand up to glass over top.

if you are using polyester resin, it shouldn't be a problem.

Never done it, but Im guessing if you mixed it too hot you might have a problem. But then again if it was hot enough to melt the foam, it would melt the cup in no time.

if you are worried about it not sticking then put resin over the foam to insure thate the flass will bond, if its too hot then you put too much hardener in it and it won't dry right

resin the foam first! let it dry! then when you mat and glass the rest the heaver londer dry time higer heat wont effect the foam!

thanks guys. I already finished the project. I made some a pillars for a friend and I used foam to shape them instead of stretching fabric.

i heard that you had to paint the foam first because the reson would eat away at the foam.
