I don't have much money, looking to stay under 300 shipped. I have an AQ 1200d I would like to find a D1 sub, i figured wiring to .5ohm would end up about .7ohm with wire resistance and box impedance rise i should be right around 1ohm. Im looking for a sub to pull 140s daily. I was looking at a fully loaded SSD, stock BL, Hifonics OLM1612 , AQ HDC 12(the cheaper one not aluminum cone), quantum audio Q12D2SPL , CADENCE DCW12RVC, Lanzar opti(the 175dollar one) and the Alpine Type X

Earthquake DBXI. had one in a custom built ported box, tuned down low, with a memphis 1100, and it played louder than my buddys W7 in a blow-through. the dbxi's are like.. 270 or so i think. depends on where you go to buy it. AWESOME sub. good quality, and played hard... very very hard. :)

Well if you are looking to spend under 300. You can get the AQ HDC12D1 new from AQ shipped for for 269. And 140's should be a problem with the power you have.

No one has mentioned DD? a 3512 or even 2512? C'mon.............. (don't bash me too bad guys...it's just my opinion" LOL don't they still hold the spl world record or did they lose it? anything thats hand built in enid, oklahoma buy a bunch of subwoofer fanatics can't be half bad!!! plus i run em in my car so i have to stand behind them.

DD isn't made in Enid Oklahoma. They're made in Oklahoma City Oklahoma. And yes I think that Craig butler did like 182db. He has 4 DD 9915s and its got lots of concrete and resin making his astro van extremely solid.

I stand corrected on the location but stand behind those subs until they fail me. thanks for the correction and i thought my last repaired sub came from enid and that they're office was in Ok city but i think everything is done in house there as far as i know. still 182 is f%$*ing loud regardless of what you line the walls of a car with, i think.

46 modified L7 10s each powered by a modified ZR1000. The amps did @ 2k rms each I think and the subs were modded to handle the power. Each sub was signed by her and when she left kicker the amps and subs were checked out/ refurbished @ kicker then sold. The last 4 10s were on eBay awhile back for like 200 each. And yes alma is realy cool to talk to and the current bronco with 6 jbl 15s and the jbl crown amps is supposed to be at shows once in awhile. Its for sq though not SPL

I thought she was "retired"? and wasn't she with PPI for a while with the second version of the "beast" before going with JBL? all i can say is that for a 70 something year old ex-school teacher, that lady was hard core back in her prime. i've seen her but didn't actually get to meet or talk with her but my moms boyfriend has always said she was a real down to earth person. thanks for the extra info my friend. i'm gonna frame that autographed shirt and pit pass i have from that show..it was the first one i got to attend and i've been hooked every since.

She started out using 46 ppi 10s in the little bronco and set a world record. Then went with kicker and set more world records. The beast was then retired and she got the full size bronco and went with jbl. She retired from competition @ the end of 06 or 07 to continue her realestate career and to help her son with his career in realestate. Last time I talked to her she said the bronco would make a few shows as a demo truck once in awhile. I think Gary biggs has it @ his shop and the origional bronco is still in storage

i have to agree if anything i go with orion Hcc those things are insane you just need to make excellent specification on the box its all in the manual or else it will sound good but not as good as it needs to b that or get the MA audio HK12 can do as well or the Audiobahn AWT10X 10" sub little monster as well.
