Hello all, my name is Mack and I am a,,,,,. Oops, wrong opening line. Anyway I am just getting started into the car audio scene and have a lot to learn. I am a Amateur radio operator and have created multiple sick creations for transmit type mobile radios. I have run mobile transmit stations on multiple alternators and a combination of 6 volt batteries in series and charged at 20 volts. After heating issues we dropped to 8 volt batteries in series and charged at 17.5 out of a Leece Nevile 320 and a Transpo 911 variable voltage regulator. My kids have recently got me talked into building a bass thumping ride and so far I'm on my second box, and have failed miserably. I tried the local SPL meter and went home with my tail tucked between my legs and took the suggestion to study more before I build or buy anything else. I am still going to get my body insulation ordered this week but will be lurking in the background here and trying to figure out where all I went wrong so far. Thanks for having me and I'll try not to ask to many stupid questions.

Welcome 2 the forum

The only stupid question is 1 that isn't asked.

We are all here 2 help each other and to learn as well as teach.

Post pics and a discription of the ride - equipment - and tell us what you want weather its an SPL monster or you just want it 2 sound good.

Well be glad 2 help

Mack, welcome to the site! check your e-mail...

Box building isn't easy.. taking on that task and understanding building concepts is a learning curve. However with the radio builds you've done you sound like quite the craftsman. There are some great box builders on here will be able to help and even 3d model a design for you. Best bet is to start a new thread with questions. Also check out our knowledge base section.. it may be helpful.
