I tried to sell this sub but no one wants it. So im going to make a new box for it. My first box was to recomendations 2 cu.ft. tunned to 38hz. It was loud but wasn't hitting the lower notes. So this is my new design. what you think.

Bigger box and bigger port with lower tuning will DEFINATELY hit the lows. I had a 2.5 cube box with 42" surface of port for my two tens. It peaked at 51 hz. I built a 3.0 cube box with a 66" port. Peaked at 43hz. Both boxes were tuned at 40 hz.

The frequency responce to this sub is 24-250hz. You think I could tune it down to 30? I listen to alot of Lil Wayne, Paul Wall, Eminem, pretty much anything with a good bass beat. I've never tunned anything down below 34 hz before. I know in home audio you tune it real low.

28 uh???? Should I just go all the way down to 24... Would that be TOO Low??? hate to have to build two boxes because the first was too low. I already made a box tunned to high. Hopefully this will be the last box this sub see's. This build Will start in a few weeks along with my Girls F.G. box.

Only 2 boxes? I wish it was that easy. I'm on the fourth and plan on at least 2 or 3 more to get it right.

its really all about what you are trying to do in the car with the sub.
3 cubes @ 32 should be perfect.
tuning at 24 doesnt mean that the sub will actually play/peak at 24....

THis guy from another forum gave me this design to try. He said that it would be better and my box wasn't right. I used RE box caculator but maybe it isn't fully correct. this guy seem's to know his stuff. So I think im going to give this a try. What you guy's think??? I don't have any box caculators that does this design.

idk.. i liked your first design you showed us better. maybe im wrong. guess it depends on the power you are pushing and whatnot. i would go with the bigger box though.
i also tuned in the low 20's, and i peak at 39 hrtz. lol. who likes low lows? i like low lows...

I had my 12" BTL in a box that peaked at 27 hz. on a TL it would do a 145.X at the headrest and a little higher 145 at the dash.... it made my car sound like a helicopter. Unless you listen to slowed down stuff only I would stick to 32 or so.

I want a box that is symetrical. I designed this. Im not going for SPL so what you think about this??? I went with two 3" ports and tunned it to 28hz. Sorry for posting so many Idea's but I want to do this Once... For now... I like the look and I want to go with Ports instead of a vent. Give me any Idea's and critiques. Think I need more Cu.Ft., anything. Thank you for your input and time. Net 2.536 Cu.ft.

That looks like what the JL Audio boxes look like with the longer port length either way it should get low
