just haveing some fun with steve tring to get him to compete politely but he won't do it talking that there is no class he can enter with 4 alternaters he will be in extream and that his setup is not considered a wall so I politely tell him that's not true he is above 25" from the floor and past the window line so as far as competiters look at it he is a wall but don't worry just rebuild the box everything else is fine and compete in ADV2 no wall and he declines. so far he is scared to compete becuase of the repercusions.:eyebrow:

my replay was this (don't get your panties in a knot just informing you when you put your box ontop of an amp rack its part of the encloser now and it's measured from the floor to the top of the woofers. so as far as real competiters are conserned it's a wall! and I am an Advanced technicion MECP how about you. and have placed 4th loudest in the world in ULT3 in 2005 try this with the kids not a real competitor.) and he has blocked me from responding and erased this reponse. what do you guys think.

well thats the only daily driver that I know of that uses 4 alternaters,10 batteries,voltage regulater,3 runs of -2guage and 1017.36 square inches of moveing mass just to impress his coworkers! and for a daily driver he show's up to alot of show's just doesn't post them on you tube when he does. besides he clearly thinks he's the best, I'm quating him (i still dont know anyone with a wall in the cargo area hitting as hard as this one does. Gotta go to the Bpillar to get close.) its in everone to be competitave thats what drives us to rebuild and get louder everytime or else why bother even going to a show, it's becuase you want to be better than the next guy, its part of being human to compete for survival. or in this case for respect. witch you don't get by blocking someone that makes you look inferior to your follower's instead of steping up to the plate and compete and show the world your the real deal.:wink:

remember I owned (xtream audio soundoffs) and was the iasca promoter for the state with a web site for competitors just like this one before floridaspl.com was in the picture and I never banned or deleted threads becuase someone thought they were louder or becuase I didn't like what they had to say. I just got worn out 2 store's & competing and hosting shows for iasca gave it up in 2005 I did my thing proved my point.

Your spelling and grammar is atrocious, but I have to disagree with this as well. If I were paying the monthly bill for a site that gets as many hits as his does I would most certainly ban people and delete threads of useless garble that was only posted to incite an argument. I would not want any negativity or stupid arguments wasting my monthly bandwidth limit. Hell, as many times as I have posted under the same circumstances I should have been banned as well. i feel the same way built in a driveway and a ton of effort, also there are db drag scores at 156+ db back a couple of years ago and now a ton of more power with 8 2500 bds it will alot louder now. No matter how people feel about him his site gets millions of hits and that is great for the car audio world in general.

Yeah, but not all of us care about loud that much. Steve shows that you can have something pretty doing mid 50's and you dont have to lose seating capacity to do it. he does not have a wall and he can see out of all of his windows. There are only a handful of people that can say that.

yes hughs old van, a chevy astro with a good box thats it. if you want to take credit away from my expertise jump on (carlos,protruck,leelane,even tommy's astro van, kyle built that encloser why can't carlos get the astro to do 170db I know what it was doing and many others that purchase cars that allready have a good encloser in them that doesn't mean your going to be loud unless you know what your doing.or that the subs you will be using will tune correctly to encloser you will need to know how to properly tune the box for your setup wait I payed mikel to redo the van for me.I take it all the other trucks that I built were built by someone else to I just wrote a check and push the unpause botton walla one of the loudest in the nation everytime since 2002 when back than I was doing 158+db and my grammer well It was never any good :banghead3: steve can do what ever he wants with his site as you put it he pay's the bill I just don't agree with how he handles some things

My impala with 3 10"s on an earthquake amp did a 147.9 in A1, which would have been good enough to be world champ and the tahoe(driven by mike sauber) but built by me did a 150.5 in S3.. and btw.. we didnt even use the soundstream that day, he used my earthquake which at best is 3000watts at 1ohm.. what did steve do.. a 151-152.. with how many watts(10k), and batts(10) and alts(4), and what size speakers(15s).. and the tahoe is only 1 db lower.. lol.. get a clue, you havent seen my newest builds and you havent seen me compete since SBN.. and btw I got a new build coming up.. 2 15"s in a VW trunk(a IASCA street 3 car, but it might run rookie 3) which should be almost as loud as the tahoe.. i hav etaken a ,ot of time off from competing to finish my builds.. i have the knowledge, the connections, and a loud as$ team and shop for support.. steve aint got **** compared to me.. or most real competitors out there.. get off his d1ck...

You need to relax, you take the internetz way too seriously. If you would read I said in an earlier post that I also was not his biggest fan. It seems that Eddie has a hard on for some guy on the internet that does not effect his day to day life. Eddie and Steve are on two different sides of the country, not to mention that they are two different people with different goals in car audio. Eddie has to support a family and make a living, Steve makes his living elsewhere and does car audio as a hobby. I find myself amazed that people get so upset over things that dont make a difference in their day to day life.

Eddie - It boils down to this.........There is no legitimate reason that anything Steve Meade does should bother you. Does he effect how you live day to day? does he effect your business in a negative manner? if NO then move on.....at the end of the day in the eyes of a competitor you will end up with the respect you deserve. hey.. i finally out of work.. btw its only my 3rd week working.. i was out of work the whole summer(6 months total) which is also why i missed state finals.. anyways.. i have now problem going against mike.. lol.. the whole car thing.. why is it that your not willing to tear up your daily driver but i should have to.. second.. even if you get another trunk car we all know size has a lot to do with it.. example.. my old fusion 2 12s setup.. It did 140.9 on a audio control(which we all know is a bit louder than a TL) but with the same amp and amount of batts and everything being the same in a camaro it did 144 on a term lab.. a 3+db difference just on the car.. I have owned my impala for 10 years now.. im not gonna stop useing it just to beat you cause you want to get a smaller car.. if this is truely about skills and who can build then lets keep it that way... similar cars(close to the same size).. obviously you can buy a 4 door saturn that is half my size, or a kia, or geo.. they all have 4 doors but are much much smaller than my car.. even you mazda was a lot smaller.. whether or not you would have beat me with a different car is in the past. you beat me. whatever.. aside from that.. you claim that this isnt about money but you said that your going to spend a lot of it.. i havent had a job.. and i lost my main sponsor(although fusion isnt that loud anyways) never the less i can assume that spring break is our time to run.. i assume you are a smart guy and kinda figured out that i have been short on funds seeing how it is that i havent competed much and have only be building other people rides.. i have no problem putting the tahoe(4 12s) or even his brother car(2 15s, which is currently being built by me) next week.. and news flash.. check the USACI records.. i think i hold the florida state port wars record for the year.. yup i do.. and im currently the loudest meca A1 car out there and would have taken the world title home if i would have driven to IN.. Lets not also forget about my SPLSTATS.com records i got a few of those 2.. oh. and my rookie year with IASCA i was points champ for bass boxing and IDBL.. What you got.. i think we did at the end, when i told him that i have an ext. cab silverado sitting in the yard ........... in which he can still go buy his ext. s10. but i don't know if he flaked at the end or not. but i'm thinking that he didn't ....... we'll see if he did or didn't.

2 12"s off 2 2-chan amps pushing 560rms each, not sure of box design, but will be in the trunk, no walls, my seats fold down, i currently have a wall with 2 10" earthquake sealed backs sitting in the pass through.. i think im going to sell those, so i might end up building something to seal off the trunk and come straight in.. not sure what exactly though. lol. there is a hole cut in my rear deck.. its where the stock boss sub came out of, and we expanded it a little bit to make it a rectangle.. but it wont be used in this build i dont think.. might have to just figure out a way to seal it off again. lol.

Man, I was so ready to take down, i think it was Mike Troll? I spent just about all my money on trying different boxes and had probably the loudest configuration I could possibly have in that car. I build 4+ different boxes and a million different port configurations. Then when I blew that sub after driving all the way up there and spending weeks getting ready for that meet it killed me.

Thanks for the props, I may be a decent builder but I don't have the money to do what I want to do. I am paying my own way through college, not a dime of my parents money, and not some community college either. Whenever I get a real job I'll be back in it for sure (or if I come in to any money :grin: ). Until then, you guys will just have to wait in fear.... lol. :wacky:

just some food for thought here with this whole apples to apples thing. last year before state finals a fellow teammate of mike's dropped down into flyweight right before state finals which made mike upset and why? because he has a crx and mike had a trunk car. So what did mike do? He does what any real competitor does he worked on the car added some more power and what happend? he ended up being 2 tenths louder than the crx. (which at the time was the loudest flyweight car in the country and is the current flyweight champion) Both of them had a single 12 so there was no sub difference in fact they were the same freakin kind of sub!!!!!

So this whole argument that you are trying to make about the vehicles being different is garbage When it comes to something like bass boxing. there are so many variables from being sealed to doors being open it levels the playing field. some are better sealed some are better a door open some are better with both doors open. If it were strait up doors closed, yes crx's and explorers would dominate just like they do in the db drag street classes and always have but bass boxing is a totaly different game.

hell the loudest score posted so far this year in flyweight is from a VW!! not even a rex!

ok.. well.. i had cut a rectangle out of the rear deck for my last set up.. 4th order with a p3 15" in it.. and i cut some of the pass through behind the seats to fit an amp mount for my last set up too.. so.. the sheet metal in a couple of places has been cut.. all past set ups, but im sure "oh i cut those a long time ago and they arent for this set up" doesnt make much difference to a judge.. lol.

so 2 12"s, 2 amps, and.. if its into the december month, i'll probably have another battery to help my stock one, if not, i'll still just have the stock one.. or maybe id borrow a bat just for the comp, cause it makes a pretty big difference for me.. lol.

shucks, im even up for seeing who can post a higher average using tones.. take the score from 20 hrtz, 30 hrtz, 40 hrtz, and 50 hrtz, add them up, divide by 4. or keep going and do 60 hrtz and 70 hrtz too. whatever. lol. im just excited to be competing. :D

Once you guys found out that I am not willing to cut up my daily driver and that I would be building something else you wanted to tell me that I had to buy a car that you choose....thats not fair to me.

The 147 was a peak note playing music at a meca event with 3 10"s my playing a 141 was with a sinlge 12" and the sub burped 142s.. i haven't bass boxing the 3 10s yet.. i should be running the 3 10S for a while but SBN will have a different setup, but im not saying what it is but i will still be in featherweight..

second.. james tombs.. the guy with the 2 10s from sbn with the VW.. look at the interior volume of the car.. almost the same size as an integra, and even he was almost dq'ed cause of his box not allowing the rear seats to fold up.. but never the less his car did get pretty loud.. notto pick on mario, but his rex should have been a lot louder..

only because james tombs couldnt do inac cause he never ran iasca up until sbn, and most everyone else only ran sbn not the INAC.. im not knocking on mario.. just saying that the loud flyweights cars did sbn and not inac..

And as far as i know that was the only car that was as loud as mario's. Mario is a smart competitor he pays attention to his competition ;)

i know.. as i said.. i havent seen him run in a while.. since i still thought he had 2 10s.. either way mario has been a good competior for a few years now.. so im not downing him in any way.. but i am kinda getting tired of everyone(especially mike troll) for doubting my skills and what not.. i always give credit to everyone for were credit is do.. everyone knows that i have done a lot.. ive showed that over and over.. i havent always been the loudest in a class.. but i still think that being 2nd or 3rd is pretty darn good, and pretty darn respectible.. ive never had a full or very good sponsorship nor have i had a lot of team support til recently.. doing what i have done on my own hasnt taking a lot of my time and a lot of my money out of my pocket paying retail for a lot of what i have had.. to make it this far on my own i fell that i have done a lot better than most cmpetitors.. then again, this is only an opinion.. but i do have some nice stats to back this up..

I understand dude if someone constantly talked shiz to me all the time it would get on my nerves to. Take it to em get your car ready and take it to him at sbn. If you win then it will be your turn to rag on him.

When you guys were competing against each other in flyweight he won alot. Since then you have gotten your car louder so i think its time yall put this to bed and go against each other one more time.

Cause honestly while this whole thread has been quite entertaining but it is getting tired and old real quick
