Well, Since Chipley I have decided to try to fnish off the stereo as far as buying equipment goes. I know I will be at least changing boxes all the way until Finals (wherever they are :D ) So here is the list of changes I have made thus far.

1. Bought another amp. Now I am running 2 ED NINe.1's to the 6 1/2's. That equals roughly 3000 watts.

2. Bouhgt a Kinetik 2400. Between the two amp there was just too much current draw for the stock charging system to keep up (surprise). On a hard burp I could drop the voltage to 10.0 without a problem. Just too much of a dip for me. Don't want to damage the amps or the car.

3. Had to get some extra fuse holders, fuses, and wire to properly install the battery.

4. Changed boxes again. Added more port area and tuned it a bit higher. Should also be an improvement.

5. Changed out decks. Upgraded from an Alpine CDE-9843 to a CDA-9856. Just a few more options.

All this equals ? dB's. I tried to get on a meter this past weekend but had some car troubles that prevented this. All set now though and my 1st test of the system will be a MECA event in Dothan this weekend with the real test coming at the double pointer in Troy. Stock 1 better watch out!

Picture is before the battry. I ordered it and will be here Wednesday.

Looking good. I can't wait to see what kind of score you get now.

Hey, I have an idea - when you get your battery in, have Lawyer boy install it for ya. Just make sure he's not wearing a gold watch. LoL Sorry Mike, couldn't help that one. :D

I didn't plan for the Dothan event, so more than likely I will see you at the Troy show.

I have also done some wiring since that pic so everything is not as erratic and more evenly laid out.

Did I miss a story with Mike? I have heard of people wearing rings and installing caps but never batteries and watches. I can imagine that is not a pleasant experience:)

I'll let him tell you the story when you see him next, but lets just say it involved a gold watch and stinger battery.

Which one, the CDA-9856? I just put mine inlast night and I like it much better than the old Alpine I had. After I put in the headunit I did a burp just to make sure all the settings were right and blew a dustcap off a sub:(
