Finally got my subs.

Im really excited to start my new build. I sold the t5 15's a week ago to get these new 15's. Amps are 2 ed nine.1's. Figured id post some pics before I make my build log which might be about 2 weeks. And 2010 will be my first year competing. cant wait. :boxing:

fyi....The box in the pic is not being used for these.

if i were you id have a box built for your subs. prefabs tend to suck.

yea man im trying to get as much space in there as possible. im trying to make this the loudest taurus. I was going to buy some hdc3's from this guy in oveido but money wasnt right. Good thing was i ended gettring these subs for 180

oh and I ran my nine.1 at .6ohms yesterday and it was perfect. all my knu klm wires will be here tuesday. now i just need about 50ft of 0g for big 3 and 1 -run to amp. Also getting a mla at 15.3 and a ho alt by jan. So this install will be pretty interesting.

idk any specs on the subs. i would like to get a little over 7cubes tuned to 34 or 36hz. brace it good and seal it off from the trunk. But i just started looking into a 80's monte carlo ss. If i can find one in the next 2 weeks then its going in there. Thats why im holding off on the alternator and mla for about 2 weeks. my girlfriends dad has a 03 colorado with a ls2 in it and now I want a good muscle car and I love the 80's monte carlo ss.

hey whenever your ready im ready. Im just looking to have a good sturdy box untill i get another car which might be about 2 or 3 months. I love my taurus but it is just way to hard to do anything with. It seems like everytime I want to do something it has to be custom made. And after installing my hids i was like f it. Tauruses are great cars but a pain in the *** to customize.

fyi. these things pound like no other at .6ohms and didnt even get warm.

Yea I thought about it. Im talking with the guy at psi about upgrading all soft parts and going with a dark blue surround and carbon fiber dust cap. Also thinking about selling the nine.1's and getting a audioque 3500. Lots of plans but im planning on a 139.9 bass racer.

I seen it before and once I seen these I had to get them. That basket is straight up sexy. People are going to be taking these subs seriously when im done with my install. One sounds better than my 2 t5 15's I had.

i second that. those guys make their power at 12.5v, more @ 13+ volts, or what ever your car puts out while idling.

Yea thats what im probably gonna do. Oh and david at psi is rebuilding my subs with better coils, spiders and dual sewn leads. He's going to build them to handle 2000+rms. Also a nice carbon fiber cone to add a lil sexiness.
