i know ive been promising all sorts of things for the KOB show.. but alas, here we are, one night left, and i have 2 boxes for 12" subs, and only one will fit at a time. unless of course i built one inside the trunk, which i dont feel like, because i can do better.

anyways, as we come down to the last few hours before the comp, i am going to fufill my promise to have both subs playing. therefore, im just going to put together a simple ported box for the pair of 12"s. :crap:

so my question is, 6 cubes after port and driver displacement enough with a 4 inch port? should i shrink the port? should i add more airspace? my 137 at 26 hrtz was in a 3.5 cube box with a 2.5x14.5 port... any ideas? suggestions? etc? :)

btw, whilst i couldnt build anything because of lack of access to tools, i could sit in my trunk for 4 hours and work on applying some sound deadener/rattle reducer.. lol. man that stuff isnt fun at all. :rolleyes2:

Id go for a 6" Aero with 6 cubes... At least a single, but Id prefer 2.

just keep the single 12'' in the 4th order for the show. i would say that would be more impressive then just trying to slap a box togther for the sake of running 2 subs

lol. well.. i suppose it depends on what goes down tonight. ive got a lot going on, but i'll certainly make another late night of it, and we'll see how it goes. i'll at least build myself a little floor so i can set a box in there. i might end up with just the 1 12".. who knows. i can hope for the best though. :)

anyways, i work at a toy store. im planning on bringing more than my fair share of toys.. i was wondering.. if i bought a case of animal bouncy balls (they are bouncy balls that are covered with a little animal looking thing. its pretty cute. lol), would anyone be interested in buying some? i can get a pretty good deal, and would sell them for 5 bucks a piece, and any profit made would go straight into the hands of mike hadden, along with any of the leftovers. you guys think we could make this work? i wont be able to check back until after work.. so im going to buy it regardless, although im sure i will be able to return it if it bombs.. i just figured i would throw this out there as an opportunity. i'll probably try to bring a few other games and stuff that are priced at 10 bucks in case anyone forgets stuff, so if u happen to forget a toy, or just dont know what to get, lemme know, and i will be more than happy to take care of you guys. :grin: (941) 544-6179. just shoot me a text or leave me a voicemail. if u have any questions i'll try to get back to you on my lunch.

im pushing 1700 rms to the one in a 3.5 cube box tuned to 28 hrtz. i will be giving the pair around 2500 rms... was thinking i could shrink the box to 6 cubes, so 3 for each, and keep it tuned around the same.. maybe a little lower.. idk yet. but thats IF i can get anything built.. lol.

well, ive got family stuff tonight.. im going to my sisters chorus concert, then out to dinner, then i think we're grabbing a Christmas tree, and THEN i get to work on it.. sigh. ryan said hed keep his shop open till about 11pm tonight, so... hopefully i'll be done with all the family stuff by 9:30, so that gives me an hour and a half.. ryan pretty much has everything set up in his shop to be run by one person, so he will probably handle all my cuts and such, and that kind of leaves me to the building.. if i got him to make all the cuts and whatnot, does anyone have a place i could build in? of course helping hands are welcome, and i dont mind working through the night if need be.. lol. i also need tools.. i have nothing. i have a circular saw that kinda works, a router that i just found and havent tested, and thats really it. im down for buying a bunch of screws and i have some glue and stuff.. just need a drill and somewhere to build, if i dont get it all done at ryans.


btw, i picked up about $400 in toys and games and stuff today. obviously im not too big a fan of dropping 400 bucks... but i did it in the hopes that id get some help from people at the comp. im planning on giving mike a call and seeing if i cant work something out with him as far as donations go, and i'll be bringing it all up regardless. so if anyone needs a toy or game to donate, i will have them there. and lots of them. :D
