IASCA 2006 World Finals to be held at NOPI Nationals

June 8, 2006 - Daytona Beach Florida, IASCA Worldwide Inc. is proud
to announce that the IASCA World Finals event will be presented at the
NOPI Nationals Motorsports Super show held at the Atlanta Motor
Speedway on September 16th and 17th 2006 .

“Considering the relative effectiveness of proprietary autosound
events, this alignment makes the most sense for all concerned” said IASCA
President Paul Papadeas, “NOPI is a dynamic event with tens and tens of
thousands of our target demographics in attendance. Michael Meyers,
president of NOPI Motorsports, is and has been supportive of IASCA and the
autosound category for years. IASCA is pleased to be associated and
aligned with an organization that has vision and delivers quality with
consistency”.

NOPI will designate a prime area of the Speedway infield, large enough
to accommodate every feature of IASCA’s presentation; the competitions,
clinics and exhibitions. More importantly, NOPI will extend to
prospective autosound exhibitors special pricing for booth space in this Car
Audio Area. “This involvement will bring new life to the autosound
portion of the NOPI Nationals,” said Papadeas.

IASCA not only plans to produce the member invitational Sound-Q and
IdBL World Finals but in addition plans to provide separate SQ and SPL
competitions for anyone who wants to join in on the fun of competing. In
keeping with IASCA’s mission of autosound proliferation, an IASCA Clinic
will be performed to offer system evaluations for any of the car show
participants. Another activity in the car audio arena will be “SPL Fun
Runs”. This opportunity let’s the average consumer know just how “hard”
his (or her) system hits without the pressure of competition.

The highlight of the autosound exposition at NOPI Nationals will be a
running of “EVERBLAST BASS BOXING” This exciting new SPL competition
(music) format entertained thousands at SBN. Bass Boxing is actually an
attraction where competitions in the Featherweight, Lightweight,
Middleweight and Heavyweight classes compete and must solicit audience
response to their musical presentation that counts for part of their score.
The Bass Boxing is competition format designed to best send our autosound
marketing message to impressionable attendees. IASCA wants spectators
leaving the lanes saying “I WANT THAT IN MY CAR”.

I wasn't looking for that many wins. Just curious, especially if Matt wants to try to hit some shows.

I have already planned out my trip to NY, it will be the week after yours, and I will be hitting a show of McVay's on August 6th.

Not sure if he is or not, but if he does decide to make an attempt, then he would need some more shows.

Ray Brooks just got certified and well be hosting i think about 6 shows in that area.
Dont worry none of us really have any plans on going out there for shows.
Why drive 5 to 6 hours when there are so many shows within an hour from me now.

But you are lucky, you have some points now:) If Matt registers for IASCa he has no points and 70 is a long way to go before September. That will mean probably 10 shows between now and then. Thankfully you have quite a few shows left for him to go to but he will still need to hit some others.

most of us are well over 100 points, i think i have over 120.
as long as they are hitting shows and in the top 5 in there class other than the ones who already got there 70 points i dont see why they dont get an invite.

i cannt wait to see the points when they get it up...

Believe it or not, 70 points may seem like a lot, but it really isn't. There are so many shows around the south that if you needed the points, it wouldn't be too hard to make them up.

Yes this is true, but Matt (my brother) is just starting to hit shows for this year, and if he is going to make an effort to go to Finals, he needs all the shows he can get, just so he can get points, it also doesn't help that he has decided to join in the fun in Stock 1. You already have Rick, Mick, and myself pretty close at the top, and if he joins in, and it is just the 3 of us at the shows, he will get 4th place, which equals 7 points, at that rate he needs 10 shows to hit the 70 points. Granted this weekend he is going to Troy, but he is trying to find out where he stands before making the decision on whether or not to try to get enough points for Finals for this year.

I always hear top 5. Does that mean his score needs to be in the Top 5 or does that mean his points have to be Top 5?

Your spl has to be within the top 5 of region 1. (Edit - Whoops. I meant to say points after "spl". Don't ask.. it was a long day.)

Even if he doesn't make the points in time, why not come to finals? It'll still be one heck of a fun show to be involved with. Lots and lots of stuff to do and see.
