i have 4 12 inch fosgate p1s in a 7cf box each in a ported chamber with 1.75cf per chamber and i have 12sq in of port per chamber .i was reading at this web site
http://www.ddaudio.com/dd/caraudio/enclosureInfo/enclosureInfo.asp
that i need more port for more spl and im sure i do after going to the comp and seeing some of the boxes and how they are made and what not
so sould i remake my box to be a giant open box with 8cf space with all 4 subs on one side and a giant port on the other *like rads box if you have seen it* and give the box a total of 60-63 sq inch of port for the most energy out of my system

bigger is not always better! but the style of box your talking bout building sounds like a mini wall.... id suggest building a full sized wall if your going to go that route.... the biggest problem your going to have with a wall is where to put your tools and wood :D

i wont have a problem building a wall im hopeing to get it started and finished before teh 11ths comp ill still have 8foot 1 inch for materals with a 2x4 wall lol ive done my math and itll work out so ill build the wall and see how it sounds with a wall and if it can be improved then ill just get advice from everyone at the shows and do what i have to to be playing at thes best

well my wall proved to be a major failure i gained .1db lol at the comp so im thinking about replaceing my 4 fosgate p1's with something better since i know i have the bottom line with em so i looking for replacement 12's to go into my new box ill be building this week so anyone with a brand and what not let me know ill be looking in the price range of 100-200 each for the replacement not anymore because it is a work van afterall lol i was thining about geting some powerbass 12's so i could try n keep up with rad but i dont know if i could afford to power them up properly or if you seen the wall and might know where i went wrong let me know and ill fix it ill be able to remove the driver and passenger seat next show lol and i will have my new xover tuned into the system as well but if theres something i could do without replacein the speakers im good with that too * atleast then i wont have to hide new speaker purchases from my ole lady lol*

Well, from what I could see (In between dodging traffic on beal parkway), have you tried a slot ported box? The ports look a little on the small side.

I don't think removing the seats will net you anymore spl. I would think that it would decrease the amount of space you need to pressurize by leaving them in there.

Don't feel too bad though, I had to leave after my first spl run and couldn't get a chance to post a higher number. I was so mad about that.
Did I miss anything important?

all and all it was a awsome show some good numbers came from it and there was a cake contest which was funny to watch and the *guy in pink* did a dance on all the gilrs there it was very funny all in the name of a good sport to seel more raffle tickets for the amps lol

Well guys I had a blast and WAS looking forward to next weekends show. But seeing as it is about 330 am and I am sitting on the side of I-75 waiting on AAA because For some strange reason one of my pistons did not like its home and decided to go through the block so I am not sure I will be doing ANY shows for a few months which means I loose my $200.00 I spent pre registering for SBN!

Hey Rickie,
I am sorry to hear your trip home turned out the way it did.
Enjoyed meeting ya at the show.
Im sure you will bonce back fast.
Cannt keep a good man down for long.

Yeah the race was on!

You cant keep me down for long for sure, but since I am trying to build a complete show car I believe it only makes since to spend time and money on completing my engine project.

I will sit out this year and bounce back at the first giterdun show after finals!
While car is down it will get completly rewired and deadened with a new set up!
