i went to tommy to get a system installed to run a 139.9 class but the system he put in it it only hit a 140.0 tommy charge me 1,399 and i told him it wont be able to hit it and he gave me this big run around i paid for lethal injections hey gave me 187 series those are 300 lethal injection are 600 for both pair but tommy put in my car 187 and didnt even told me he put them in i get home pull them out that he put the wrongs subs i call him and i tell him and he told me i know i put the wrong subs in but he charge me for lrthal injrctions i blow the 187 seriers ther 300 rms i got an amp 1000 amp rms i burned the voice coil they he lets me the kobs until the lethal injection come i been waiting for the lethal injection for almost 3 months and i never got them

i got the story straight from tommy. a bit different from the one above. you left out the part about him building you multiple boxes to try to get you louder. and the fact that he got out his TL to meter your system and gained you 3DBs. (most of us would pay more than you did for your whole system for just 3DBs.) and you left out that part about calling IA trying to get recones for the KOBS and dustcaps without the KOB logo on them. explain that.

carlos didnt have the subs to make sure they were returned. Robin had them as collateral for the box he was designing for Phatboi. that is why they got returned so quickly.

I can explain this. It was me, and it was an email not a phone call. I was trying to get information about recones for the KOBs cause I planned on reconing them to handle more power and have a different imp so I could buy another AP15001D and strap the two amps.

I think he way trying to say the system peaked at a 140 on a burp, not for a 30 sec. average. Either way, if Tommy built more than 1 box for you, then it doesnt matter...he went above and beyond for him.

well if tommy gave him the subs he payed for there would have been no loaning or miss understanding.. not taking sides.. tommy should have gave him what he paid for.. tommy knows car audio and should have known it wouldnt do a 139.9 bass race with those first subs.. so tommy built boxes on his own by choice trying to basically take kids money.. tho kid shouldnt have traded or pawned off the subs when there were loaners.. sounds like some childish stuff on both parts to me

i used to hit a 138.0 on a quatum amp 3000 so i paid 1399 for just to be 2 db louder and he said me lethal injections be he gave me 187 series they were the wrongs subs so it tommy fualt for giving me the wrong subs he only got 2 db louder so he only got me to hit a 140.5 so tommy robbed my money they i been waiting for almost 3 months for the lethal injections and i still dont have them

looks like neither side is right here. tommy should had made more of an effort to get the correct subs, and black should have taken a different approach. if the true story is that tommy installed a lower level sub than was paid for, then.. tommy certainly is at fault. if thats not true, then the whole story here is **d like nuts and no one knows which way is up.

regardless, the kob subs should have been treated with a little more respect because even though tommy might have installed the wrong sub, loaning out the big boys was his pocket.. he could have just said "wait till they come in, they have been ordered."

long story short.

Blackscion came in wanting to get louder. previously burped a 135.xx
had a budget of around 1500
tommy suggested a crossfire 1000w amp and 2 lethal injection 12s
a battery
a box for the 12s
and a flush panel to clean up the install

using the existing 4gauge wiring.

the price was agreed on and the work was done.
once finished blackscion brought up that he only had around 1000 at the time and it would be a few weeks before he would have the rest.


Tommy said, let me get your information, phone # address etc. so I can find you if you dont pay.

At this point it was agreed that he got louder, because he left.
tommy never promised a specific number.
blackscion came back a few days later and said his friends told him that tommy ripped him off.

Tommy got out his meter and hooked it up to see how much louder it got.
tommy wasnt happy with the number, so he had a completely new box built, no charge. the new box raised the number a bit.

the main problem was voltage drop. because of this, tommy switched out the subs for 187s. doing this gained an additional DB.

the reason is that the amp couldnt put out enough power to push the lethals because of the voltage drop. Another battery would be required, but that was out of the budget.
the smaller 187s didnt pull on the amp so hard, so the voltage stayed higher, and the amp put out more power.

so, tommy switched out boxes and subs gaining around 3db over earlier the same day. increasing blackscions peak to 141.5 +/-.

Tommy promised the customer he would get him louder for that amount of money. he never promised specific equipment. he merely suggested the lethals would do the job. and they would do the job if the voltage was right, but remember the budget.

blackscion once again left the shop. Tommy got in contact with him later about the remaining balance and blackscion said that a close family member was having health issues and he would be out of the country so he couldnt pay him until he got back. only problem is he wasnt out of the country, he was at mikes show on the 28th. tommy didnt know this at the time.

after the show, blackscion apparently wasnt happy with how loud he was and he started playing with the gains and blew the 187s.

He returned to the shop and tommy agreed to swap them out for the original lethals so that they wouldnt get blown again. only problem is tommy didnt have any more lethals in at the time. So tommy drove to his house and removed 2 KOBs from HIS truck and gave them to blackscion as loaners until the ordered lethals came in.

keep in mind he still owed tommy around 500 dollars at this point.

and then apparently he traded them to Phatboi.
