thewes The only way people can say "built in America" in regards to anything car audio related is strictly due to technicality, manufacturers simply get the components and ASSEMBLE it here in the states. While it isn't a lie, its just somewhat clever wordplay. Look at SS or FI, I think they all say "Assembled in the USA" or something along those lines.

Absolutely no raw components used in building speakers/drivers are produced here aside from MAYBE some spacers (Jakee@sundown used a local for that), some coils, and thats all I can really think of... Maybe a basket or two might be produced here, but I'm sure that has been outsourced by now. I actually believe the original TC sounds LMS Ultra basket was made here for a brief period, but once they reorganized as Audiopulse then back to TC Sounds they had to let go of several patents at auction, one of the patents being their pretty little basket design. Which as you know is now being used in the SMD sub line. Coincidentally, you will now notice many low end chinese drivers using the almost identical TC basket design, not sure what happened there but the mold got out somehow.

Just to really blow your minds, every single ferrite or neo magnet on ANY speaker is almost 100% from China, they are home to some of the largest ferrite vendors in the world. They took that over a long long time ago...
