: My bassrace truck build
maxpl 03-19-2007, 06:18 PM well, ive got this '96 s-10 thats been sitting here for a few years, runs like a champ. my wife has her new job, so we are set financially now, she is a college medical teacher.
im gonna get a hard top for my truck, and then do a walk through. my plan is to do a LOW tuned bandpass wall, with 8 kicker solo-x 18's, 8 kicker zx 2500.1 amps, and 16 kinetic 2400 batteries.
hope to get my truck back to my house within the next, and get the interior stripped and ready for deadening and bracing, then cut the back wall out when i get the hard top and the boot.
will have pics along the way.

no, i just wanna build something loud this time, the pt cfuiser just aint cuttin it. my pt does 150 at 25hz, but i want more.

my plans have changed though, as i realize i will have a hard time mounting solo-x 18's upside down, in an enclosure that isnt big enough to fit 2 people in the opening. i may just do 16 L7 15's on 8 2500.1's.

Either one of those setups should get off. You'll get a better wow-factor with 8 x 18s. Hurry up and start and post pics!! :cool:
