I know it is not a florida show, but close enough:) Will be held in the Car Toys parking lot at 3505 Montgomery Hwy. I do not know the start time of the show but it seems most MECA have a tweak and tune at 10 and the show starts at noon.

This will be my 1st MECA show so it should be fun. Get to try out an improved setup.

I am always looking to meet new people so if anyone is going to the show stop and say hi. I will have the Saturn with the (4) 6 1/2's.

Anyone know when this show starts officially? I keep meaning to call, but unfortunatelt it isn't on my priority list and always slips to the back of the list.

Sweet! Most MECA shows seemed to start at 10:00 but the site didn't say so I wasn't sure. I am getting all excited!

I will be there. Looking forward to seeing the van. Looks great in the pictures but I am sure it looks better in person. A buddy of mine is coming from Panama City and competing with his Tiburon and his brother is competing (hpefully, if all the equipment holds out) in his ALero. We are all entering S5 class.

Well, at least you are ahead of me:) This will be my 1st MECA event. I downloaded the rules and went from there. I know that MECA has the exact opposite view of the sport then IASCA or dB Drag in the classifications. In IASCA and DB Drag it is all about how much power you can cram into as few of subs as possible and in MECA it is the other way around. LOL.

dn thy have some crazy fuse rating thing now.

Peteyglad
06-03-2006, 09:25 PM
Yeah, your fuse size X 10 plus your cone area. So if you have a large amp you are in a higher class

The show went pretty good, not as many people showed up as I thought. It was nice to meet a few new people and put some faces with the names. Shane (my little boy) had a good time with the ladies, especially checking out the Bat Cap girls - too bad he is only 2 ! I will get with Ray and see if he wants to get another competition together, maybe someone will win a free alternator at the next show. Barry was hilarious ! No sooner did he say he would not have a use for one of the free wiring kits Ray was giving out, guess who's name they called out - Barry Cook ! Anyone get pics ?

I have changed my setup so much between my last IASCA and this MECA that it isn't really a fair comparison. I did a 143.8 official. I did a little higher in testing before the show but couldn't repeat the number. This was on a Termlab system. The only thing I am changing between now and Troy is adding a battery so that will give a better indicator then from Chipley to Dothan.
