So crescendo will give you an account with several other dealers within a reasonable driving distance from you....and won't give your friend in GA an account?

What is the reason they won't give him one? Seemingly all you need is a tax ID.

Who actually has a retail location that offers these brands.

Retail store:
insurance, utilities, employees, pay taxes, offers "walk-in" traffic, stock, marketing, etc..

Distributor/tax-id account:
Low overhead, no insurance, storage unit/house, no employees, no taxes (or very little), "fly by night", etc..

Its not this black/white, but 99% of time it is...

i do but im not entierly sure i like ur tone...plus scotty @ pure audio ....amped up in ftmyers......

No one in this thread has a car audio shop and is selling Crescendo to answer your question. Except Dappa5, it's up to the company who sells their product though.

As a manufacture, you cannot cater to both. Me personally, I want my car audio friends/dealers to be successful. I only represent brands that specialize in local shops. With territory, protection, training & support from a outside rep who visits monthly (average 3000 miles per month)

So personally, brands who do not do this...will go away & another one will replace it in a couple years...I've seen it over the past 15 I've been doing car audio..

Nothing against any of them, some make decent product. But the back bone of car audio marketing is local shops..

If brand "popularity" & marketing is based on forums..it takes a handful of bad reviews & boom...they are out of business...sucks, because some of the product is good...

I'll leave at that...sorry to threadjack
