It should have been done completly with rings. if that baffle is left untouched before glassing theres no way its going to look any good. I bet thats the only pic we ever see of those doors...

Wait a second,you say someone spending thousands already....and they cheap out on the visual aspect and the overall quality of the build? that sounds pretty stupid IMO.

to be fair, if he cared much about aesthetics or overall quality, he prob wouldve gone to a real shop/builder.

Using individual rings can be used for different looks. but I dont think rings should have been used here. Most of my favorite door panels were made from a one piece flat baffel. For example 99% of Monster Sound door panels.

Agree, I'm not a fan of fiberglass "blobs" or "valcano's".

Also not flush mounting speakers is another :banghead: that drives me crazy.

But hey, I'm sure the customer just wants it cheap, done & some type of sound coming out..
