Stock Shaker 500 system minus head unit and door speakers. Door subs are plugged in to play the front (kind of act like a crappy midbass, door subs are both half blown thanks to previous owner. Need to find a midbass for that spot (methinks I will end up with Tantric :3). The door speakers were replaced with some little MMATS 5.25 coaxials I got awhile ago (they are being run off head unit power).

So I sold the mmats on ebay and removed it today.

Now....for some time I noticed a weird sound at certain frequencies....sort of like what Matt (TheJesus) had happening to his level 6. Decided to do some inspection...... and of course my drill wouldn't work today so I did this all with a screwdriver:banghead:

Upon taking off the first half I found the culprit of the sound....

Above is the left sub...cap coming off and flapping.

Then I took off the other side....

So below is where I am currently...both sides off... subs still in. Recones in my future I guess (if this is the case I will get them reconed to take more power....).... going to try and take caps and excess glue off and reglue them...maybe I won't need a recone?

Mine was the spiders lifting off the landings... Lol. I wish it were some dustcaps.
