Default Do i need a new alternator or the big 3 upgrade?!

So i have a 4ga Wire installed for my current amp and im thinking about getting a Crescendo BC2000d. I know i need 0 ga wire now but now im wondering if i need another Alternator or big 3 upgrade.. thanks in advanced!!

Do the Big 3, add some ofc 1/0 gauge and watch your voltage. Contact tenneyalts.com aka Skee on here, he will point you in the right direction. Also he sells cable & big 3 upgrade.

Yeah, pretty much what he said. If your voltage is dipping down past 12V, you can add in a battery before you step up the alt (makes more sense price wise).

Add batts and big three. I ran a nendo 5500 on a red top and an HC2400, voltage stayed right around 12v playing music full tilt. I have a stock alt. but every Car is different. Install and test your voltage. Upgrade alt if needed.

Oh okay so a voltage meter is a must along with the big 3 and possibly a new bat/alternator. thanks for the help guys!

easiest volt meter

voltmeter

add battery first and 0 gauge wire.

I am running 1700 and no alt upgrade and has not done the big 3

Grab a xscorpion or stinger voltage meter so you can get the vote from the amps.

proper Power wire to amp (no CCA), do big three under hood, good ground at amp, now if you have voltage drop, add rear battery, still voltage drop, upgrade alt,
