Default Direct connect wire

I've notice that some sub woofer companies offer direct connect Wire option for their subs. What is the benefit of opting for direct connect versus the spring loaded connectors?

Personal preference mostly. I don't use anything with the springs anymore because they are usually too difficult to push and place the Wire in or aren't big enough for the wire you're trying to use. I've had two of my 16 subs so far be the springs, and I removed them when I reconed. Direct leads are so much better.

Some say that it's less resistance when they are direct connected like another link in the wiring chain. Some swear by it others not so much. It's just something else to try for ur own application.

I've been told to stick with push terminals, I don't think it really matters when it comes down to it.
