Default thinking about switching to a 4th order

I have 4 sa 8 v1.5s in a ported box. Thinking of switching to a 4th order. I know with the qts they are not ideal due to the sealed section of a 4th order. I have a good bit of space and think I can make it big enough.

My question is what kind of ratio should I look at. I want to find out if I have enough space and then get with someone for a design. My goal is to get a louder low end 28-32 is where I usually like to play.

I saw a ratio a while back someone was happy with, but can't seem to find it.

If this is out of the picture I will rebuild my 18" BTL and drop it in the truck.

I really hate the way SA 8's perform in a 4th order.

I thought you had good luck with them? I remember you building a box a while back.

I may just need to alter the direction they fire and lower tuning a notch. They fire up in my truck and I can't ever put my rear window down or the bass is completely gone. I can do the rear side windows no problem though. Also the tuning is a little higher than I care for.

yeah I got them to sound pretty good, that does not mean they did not perform a whole lot better in a ported box.
